All those people who are anti gun and claim gun is not needed to protect one's home has an ally in Maryland. Assistant State’s Attorney Glen Neubauer has decided to charge Matthew Pinkerton, 34 a tech Sargent in the air force with a number of charges concerning the shooting death of Kendall Green. Evidently, when Kendall Green kicked in Pinkerton's door after be told to leave, then charging Pinkerton who fired and hit Green once. Kendall continued to advance on Pinkerton who fired a second shoot that proved fatal. quote: Attorney: Glen Burnie shooting was self-defense A Glen Burnie man acted in self-defense when he shot and killed another man he suspected of having an affair with his wife, his attorney said Monday. At a bail hearing for Matthew Pinkerton, 34, attorney Peter O’Neill said the victim, Kendall Green, broke into Pinkerton’s home on Arbor Drive just before 2 a.m. Sunday after being told repeatedly to leave. Green, also of Glen Burnie, acted aggressively and motioned toward his waistband as if he had a weapon, O’Neill said. Pinkerton shot Green once in the chest from 10 to 15 feet away, but Green continued to advance toward him, his wife Jessica and two friends who were at the house, O’Neill said. That’s when Pinkerton shot him again. He died at the scene. Source Now recently there have been many stories of shootings, covered by the media, raising more cries for "gun control" and yet this story was overlooked. I am sure that the gun control and gun ban supporters will be sure to attack Pinkerton as acting rashly in his attempt to stop the intruder, they might even suggest as the assistant state prosecutor did that instead of grabbing a gun and shooting a man charging him from 15 feet away, he should have called 911. I am equally sure that someone is going to claim that the deceased's intentions were unknown at the time of the incident. At this point, the assistant state prosecutor should be removed from office and stripped of his law license for his desire to pursue this case.

At a vigil late Wednesday, she asked: “Why did he have to shoot her?” Spinks said the family met with police and Prosecutor’s Office about the shooting. She said police told the family the shooter is a man in his 50s.A preliminary autopsy indicated McBride was shot in the head, according to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. No other information on the autopsy was released.

Uh, even when I was more on the anti-gun side, I cannot imagine myself using THIS as an example of the need to get rid of guns. Quite the contrary, this would've been one of those cases that pointed in the other direction. No, you don't get to break into some guy's home... not even when I wanted fewer guns and more stringent controls.

I'm pointing out that the original report isn't the only report, and that all the facts are far from in.

But it is a little early to join the lynch mob. Sorry if I implied that you took Nos seriously, I would intentionally never insult you like that. I have read your articles and while there are questions raised they do not, much as some of the authors seem to want them to, disprove self defense.

I do have to agree that this example being used as a reason for pro gun or gun control is somewhat questionable, the facts are not all in and perhaps what happen will be told in court or perhaps not. As to the Assistant State Prosecutor he was able to get an indictment, he was just doing his job. Your response to a single report without knowing all the details in my opinion is a typical reaction by pro gun. Further Maryland does not have a "Stand Your Ground" Law however a bill was introduced in August of this year. In my view the shooting of the black woman seeking help is more reason for gun control than your choice.
