No, it isn't. When it comes to auto insurance, do you have to have insurance if you don't drive? No. No, you don't. You aren't forced to purchase insurance to pay for the coverage of others if you aren't going to participate. Is that the case when it comes to health insurance?
Didn't think so.
Nice try. You failed.

If you don't drive, you do have the choice to buy uninsured/underinsured insurance to protect yourself from drivers/accidents even if you don't drive..

Thank you for proving my point, TJ! If I don't drive, I have the choice to buy a certain policy, but I'm not forced to buy it.

No. It is accurate. Much more accurate than an asinine abortion comparison,.

No, Ken, it isn't accurate.
Where do I sign up for my auto insurance subsidies?
And, since you obviously couldn't see the comparison, it wasn't comparing health insurance to abortion, but that calling what US Citizens are being granted "choice" would be the same as pigeon-holing pregnant women into carrying a pregnancy to term is still choice.
Sorry you couldn't grasp that concept, Ken.

I can grasp it. That's why I called it asinine.
Americans have many choices in regards to health insurance under the ACA. If they don't get health insurance from their or their spouses employer they may qualify for Medicaid or they may get private insurance outside the exchanges or they may go through the exchanges or they may choose to not get insurance in which case they will see a reduction in any federal tax return they get. They will never be pursued to pay a fine but will only not get as big a refund.

They don't have free choice, though, Ken (which was my point). They are still being forced to choose to pay this, or pay that. WTF kind of choice is that? (Just a hint: it's a homophone with "knot free")

So what? There are plenty of things we are not free to choose. I'm not free to choose to shoot cons for fun for instance.

You continue to evade the truth and please no more dumbass abortion crap.

I'm forced to either buy an insurance policy, or pay a fine. If I don't drive, I don't have to spend money on anything related to car insurance.

Shooting conservatives (or any other political demographic) is illegal because it's an infringement of their rights.

My choosing to not purchase health insurance is not an infringement on anyone's rights.

Thank you for agreeing that this isn't a free choice (which was all my abortion example was intended to show).

Actually you getting ill is an infringement on everyone else since it costs us money if you don't have health insurance and are not so obscenely wealthy you can pay out of pocket.

Hello

your getting sick or injured and then going to hospital, were you can't pay for and or expect others to pick up your bill is an infringement on my rights. even though as a slave I don't worry about that.

So, that's if I get ill, and if I choose to find health care and if I can't pay for it on my own.

All that means, is that my not purchasing insurance isn't an infringement on anyone else's rights.

...Does the President have the Authority?

Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean questioned whether President Obama has the "legal authority" to carry out the Obamacare fix the White House outlined today:

Then there's the new Democrat rising star and legume right off the old Peanut bush,

Jason Carter: Georgians think ACA ‘a mess

And so.... The President under dubious authority will now in effect "delay" the individual mandate from the exact source he was hoping would be paying for the AHA while giving the to the nation the No. 1 issue in the 2014 National Elections

White House tries to salvage Obamacare, Democrats in distress

Of Course, the first thing the The Collarme President Obama Protection Axis will do is attack the sources so, why not give them some more red meat.

POLICY CANCELLATIONS: OBAMA WILL ALLOW OLD PLANS

Executive Orders cannot change law. Only the Supreme Court can throw out a law and only the Legislative branch, both houses of Congress in concert, can change laws. The President can attempt to veto a law or a change to a law approved by both houses of Congress (Senate and House of Representatives) but this Veto can be overridden by a Majority Vote in Congress which means if both Houses belong to the GOP in 2016 or enough Dems go against Obama then Obama is powerless to veto a repeal or change in Obamacare by Congress. Check and balances. This is the American form of Government and this week you see the check and rebalance occurring against a law that is dictatorial and cannot stand in a nation of free people.

1776-2014 Don't tread on U.S.

Arturas -> RE: TICK-TOCK to the AHA as we know it... White House changes its mind but... (11/17/2013 8:51:49 PM)

When one sees an American President actually whine on T.V., it is time to write him or her off. This week, the world saw an American Community Organizer sitting in this Nation's Executive Office whine and apologize for doing his job so poorly. Unfortunately, an apology is not enough when we are talking about an attempt to seize control of 1/6 of our nations infrastructure using votes purchased with lies and subterfuges. No, never will it be enough and the social democrats will make history with this attempt and will never be forgiven any more than all the others in history who tried to take our freedoms starting in 1776.

Let me get this straight. You paying for other peoples medical bills is an infringement of your rights.

Then what, pray tell, do you think you are doing with obamacare.

Remember when What did he know and when did he know it was a catchphrase?

On Sunday, appearing on ABC’s This Week with fill-in host Martha Raddatz, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) admitted that Democrats knew full well that Americans would be booted from their health insurance plans as an effect of Obamacare implementation.

When asked whether Democrats were misled by President Obama about whether Americans would be able to keep their plans in the individual insurance market, Gillibrand answered: “He should’ve just been specific. No, we all knew.”

Yup. Breitbart propropaganda.  Not at all what was said.   Nutsackerisms and disinformation, a Breitbart modus operandi.

Lucylastic -> RE: TICK-TOCK to the AHA as we know it... White House changes its mind but... (11/18/2013 9:42:34 AM)

RADDATZ: Let me ask you this, I want to go back to this implementation, because we can't quite go forward yet. Did you feel misled by Obama?

GILLIBRAND: He should have just been more specific, because the point is if you're offered by a terrible health care plan that the minute you get sick, you're going to have to go into bankruptcy, those plans should never be offered.

RADDATZ: So, were you misled?

GILLIBRAND: He should have just been specific.

No, we all knew, the whole point of the plan is to cover things people need, like preventive care, birth control, pregnancy. How many women the minute they get pregnant might risk their coverage? How many women paid more because of their gender because they might get pregnant? Those are the reforms...

RADDATZ: But we're talking about leadership here and trust. What does this all say about President Obama's leadership these past few weeks? He fell on his sword but he's missed that sword a couple of times.

GILLIBRAND: Well, no one is more disappointed in the implementation issues than President Obama and he has taken full responsibility for the mistakes and the lack of getting this system up and running when it was supposed to be up and running.

But what this was about, Martha, are those mothers in the emergency room who don't have access to affordable health care. I can't tell you how frightening it is when your kid can't breathe. It is a horrible moment. And I looked at every mother, and I'm telling you, we have to fix health care in this country. So, when you talk about President Obama's legacy, his legacy is going to be offering affordable health care to every family in this country.
RADDATZ: But you talk about this and what they want, 39 Democrats defected in the bill you heard Jon Karl mentioning in the house. 39 Democrats. What does that tell you?

GILLIBRAND: Well, they're just responding to the worries of their constituents. When...

RADDATZ: Exactly.

GILLIBRAND: Right -- because of these implementation issues, there's a number of Americans who got a notice from their insurance saying we're not covering you anymore.

Well, do you know what that creates in a family? Enormous amounts of stress. It's exactly the stress when you don't know how you're going to pay for your child's medicine and you don't know how you're going to pay for the inoculations they need to stay healthy.

And the whole point of the bill is so you can actually get those inoculations. You can make sure your kid isn't going to get sick. You can make sure you get the medicines he or she needs.

RADDATZ: Got to work through it.

GILLIBRAND: They're worried. They're worried. And I think it's not only normal, but our job is to fix these problems. So if they're trying to ally someone's concern just say listen, we're going to make sure there's something affordable. And during this transition period where implementation has been rocky, we're going to allay your concerns, that's reasonable.

And I think many of our colleagues, Democrats and Republicans are trying to figure out do we allay that worry. And that's exactly what the president is doing

Yachtie, Its a shame you only shared that part of it ....
