If it was even true in the first place. She might be the type to hit where she knew he was vulnerable and didn't realize that with domestic violence it wouldn't matter if she wanted to press charges or not.

I make no claim to know whether she told the truth and changed her mind or if she lied from the beginning.

The truth is that I think that all three of them (Mr. Mrs and the GF) are less than stellar pillars of society, so it's difficult to tell.

the trouble with that is once she is shown to be a liar a lot of people are not going to believe anything she says. Unless she has video of him standing there with a gun when she made that statement there is always the chance that she was lying at the time. The more she changes her story the less believable she will become.

When you discard her testimony, you have Zimmerman telling the 911 operator that his girlfriend is pregnant and stuff. Oh, yeah, and then you have the 911 tape of her getting locked out by Zimmerman. And then the police having the enter the apartment and dismantle Zimmerman's barricade.

At a minimum there's "Wasting The Police's Valuable Time" charges in there somewhere.

The real question is, "Given that Zimmerman began this with a million dollar debt and two hundred dollars in the bank account, who is paying the lawyer?"

If this person had even an ounce of intelligence, after his acquittal he would have counted his blessings and dropped out of sight entirely. Instead, he chose to remain in the public eye with various traffic stops and by becoming involved in confrontational domestic situations.

So, he has $200 in the bank and owns several guns? Well, I know exactly where this guy is eventually going to end up, and I think most other people do too.

MIAMI (AP) — George Zimmerman will not face domestic violence charges because his girlfriend did not wish to pursue the case and there was scant evidence of a crime, a state prosecutor said Wednesday.

Samantha Scheibe's decision not to cooperate and the lack of other corroborating evidence would have made the case difficult to prove, State Attorney Phil Archer in Seminole County said in a statement.

"There is no reasonable likelihood of a successful prosecution," Archer said.

I only remember two incidents... one where his (ex) wife accused him of, among other things, hitting her father in the face( strange how it left no marks. Strange how the complaint was dropped). and this one ( strange that Samantha and her mother were shopping for a paid national tv interview three weeks earlier. Strange that they just could not drum up enough interest to cash in).

Nah he didn't get drunk in that "scuffle with police"; the truth is kinda boring. One of the eyewitnesses of that event has a statement on record when the FBI interviewed him about the Martin case...he said what happened is that a couple of under cover cops busted an under age friend for drinking, and George, not knowing they were cops, put his hand on one of their shoulders and asked what was going on.

But stuff like that seems to get ignored in favor of the far more sensational "George assaulted a police officer" bit.
