Phydeaux -> RE: Israel still torturing children (1/7/2014 10:30:47 PM)

Oh sure. Israel should let someone else set immigration policy. lets let 10,000 terrorists in. What the palestinians say they were willing to do 20 years ago doesn't really matter. They didn't do it. What matters is that here and now, hamas and the palestinian authority - neither one of them renounce the right of return. quote:

ORIGINAL: Phydeaux So long as the palestinians insist on making israel a muslim state (ie, insisting on a right to return) there will be no treaty. Your negotiation cannot be: kill yourself. Because .. no matter how bad the cards - palestinian right of return is telling the israelis to choose their own destruction. So. The palestinians know that. The israelis know that. We used to know that. The palestinians are not interested in peace - fair or otherwise- they just like drumming up support (and donations). I do admire the persistence with which you produce red herrings. The Wikileaks Palestine Papers revealed that the Palestinian negotiators were prepared to accept that the "right of return" be capped at 10,000 (out of the original c750,000 Palestinians driven from their homes by Zionist ethnic cleansing 1947-50). Israel rejected this token number. I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to attempt to argue that granting the 'right of return' to 10,000 Palestinians would somehow add up to "making Israel a muslim state" or "telling the Israelis to choose their own destruction", as Phydeaux insists. But hey it's another excuse not to come to terms with the Palestinians, another excuse to avoid peace, to delay and obstruct while the theft of the West Bank proceeds ........ What else have we come to expect from Netanyahoo but an endless parade of ridiculous excuses to avoid peace and justice while every day grabbing more and more of Occupied Palestine with no intention of ever returning a single millimetre of it?
