I can't speak for male-on-male attractions, but with so many right wingers fetishising money and especially the accumulation of large amounts of it, I'm sure many of them must find Putin's reputed personal fortune of >$50 billion irrestistably alluring. Size queens!

There is a fundemental difference between "the state" and "the nation", "the state" and "the country". According to the OECD and other economic research, developed countries with a more egalitarian economic settlement have higher social mobility, higher productivity, better health and education outcomes and less crime and other social problems which are an economic drain, such as drug use, alcohol abuse, domestic violence, less mental health problems etc etc etc.

Maybe Obama thinks a fairer America will be a better America?

Owner, could it be that Putin likes to go horseback riding, motorcycle riding, shooting guns, hunting, hiking, judo, karate and a bunch of other things?
And Erkel,....... likes to go on vacation to ("Asia") Hawaii.
And Erkel has...Michele.
While Putin has.....leggy Russian models.
I mean c'mon man, who'd *you* like to hang out with for a weekend?

Well, that was why they put most of their pet dictators in power, wasn't it? I think some right wing characters like Putin for the same reason Obamanoids like Obama: Putin is an illusionist. Putin Russia is a full-blown fascist state, Obama USA is moving towards a fascist state. Putin said to Russian Oligarchy dozen of years ago: "You are as rich as we (Putin plus security apparatus) allow you to be". BTW: some anti-Obama left wingers like Putin as well. Perhaps the rationale is Putin being actually in charge vs. Obama the puppet.
