Uh, folks, I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but some scientists believe that we could be a part of a very huge computer simulation, and there for we were created by a software publisher.

.....and there are others who say we are a mutation of the bipedal species designed only to be smart enough to mine gold for the Anunnaki. For example, the bible has relatively few words about Adam & Eve but the Sumerians wrote a whole chapter with instruction to not only be fruitful and multiply (and they did hey) but near the end of which telling Adam to go south young man...go south.

What was south ? Well if you keep going almost directly south...you find what was 75,000 gold mines from which this 'brand new' huge labor force was to mine gold...for the Gods and where even today in certain yet limited areas you lose your GPS and then cell communications. This is also an area very restricted and a place where avenues are blocked, holes filled in and whose artifacts have already been 'cleaned up' by the south African govt. Geee...I wonder why.

Do you mind posting links to any scientist that actually believes this and is taken seriously?

This Ancient Aliens crap is really a load of bs.

Sorry but if aliens did seed this planet and created humans for slaves, where are they now?

They got the gold, so they are mostly gone so what remains of them are only interested in how our DNA is doing. Look, maybe scientists was a bad word as ALL religion about man's origin is just that...speculation and myth. Even worse in some cases, we are believe some of the mythology but not all of it.

Funny how mankind is supposed to accept certain mythology over other mythologies. I saw this first summation and offers everyone a chance to pick their own. Here

But trust me, extraterrestrials are still here, they are spotted all of the time and have been for millennium.

I too was a lot younger when I first saw it. I loved it then and I still love it now. It's in my DVD collection.

I put it in the category of 'popcorn for your head movie.' And I don't mean that lousy reheated, pre-packed in a rectangular box, popcorn. Nope. I mean a big bucket of freshly popped popcorn
dripping with butter and salted just a tad bit too much (which I heartily recommend while watching They Live). It is an unhealthy indulgence but for sanity's sake you just have plunge your hand
in and grab a big greasy handful now and then.

Besides, They Live has one of the best, all time, mutual beat downs in cinematic history.

They're already here, I mean with conservatives trying to take away people's rights and keeping the minimum wage low if not get rid of it completely, sounds like an alien enslavement plot to me[:D]

No, that is more of a religious theocracy with a bit of Eugenics thrown in for fun, add to that the need for the christian right to make sure than sinners dont sin, you get secret religious police and a modern version of the Spanish Inquisition.

Of course, those of us like me, who are against organized religion will form "Heresy" militias and fight for the rights of the Sadist, Masochists, Gays, furries, and junk food junkies.

Well what's really important especially among the great masses of humankind, is that whatever we do not wish to believe...is not true.

jlf1961 -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/7/2014 5:26:36 PM)

Look I believe that life is out there.

However, I doubt that we have ever been visited, let alone set along a breeding program by some semi omnipotent race to dig minerals out of the planet, for a couple of reasons.

1) If they have mastered interstellar travel, then they have mastered a power source better than nuclear fusion. Considering that the hydrogen atom is the base structure for every element that comes after it, why dig for metals when you can make them in a nuclear furnace? Besides since gold and other precious metals are scarce on earth, but seem to be common in asteroids, why come here? Just mine the asteroids.

Also, it would be inefficient to depend on biological constructs to mine the metals, automated systems would be better and you dont have to feed them.

2) Considering how long we have been listening to the universe with radio telescopes, we would have probably heard them by now.

3) If they did breed humans into existence, their computers would have projected the probable mutations over generations, so why in the hell would they leave a combative, warlike, hate filled, primitive minded species to expand over a planet and eventually (if we dont nuke ourselves into extinction) travel out among the stars and fuck with them?

Better do deal with the slaves in a manner similar to what was done with ponies used in mines in remote areas, once the mines were played out, the expense of transporting the ponies was not cost effective, so you kill the animals.

DomKen -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/7/2014 6:16:00 PM)

Anyway gold is no big deal as far as either rarity in the greater universe or utility. If aliens who had technology at all like ours had ever been through here I would expect to see depleted rare earth and/or doping material deposits and those were intact until we started exploiting them quite recently.

That just explains why he mangles words so often.

Okay, just to get back on topic: One of my favorite YouTube Atheists. For those not already familiar with Aron Ra and who like him enough to want to watch more, be aware of two things. One, avoid the compilation of the series.
It is long and out dated and not spliced together very well. Two, pay attention. The Foundational series in Particular. This guy likes to talk fast when he can and he packs tremendous amounts of information into each video.

Suffice it to say that mankind does not know and really isn't that close to knowing of his real origins. It is also a bit fruitless to speculate on just what any advanced ET race could or couldn't do and that the real problem is man. (and I never used the word scientist BTW)

He is too big, too slow and too stupid to grasp any real possibility of just how any ET influence could have altered and/or designed what is left of the world or the human race and is far too wrapped up in his culture of earthly power and competition for it in his sin of greed.

For all we know...the NWO will be brought to us by ETs. In which case the politicians are off the hook. As far as genetics go and for all we do know...it's always a crap shoot...that's why the testing and our continued ignorance having really just gotten started on the genome.

First gold is a very big deal and man has been mining it for millennium. It is a super conductor, inert as it does not change and is rare earth now specifically one could argue...because it has been mined already. Recall, as recently as a couple centuries ago, there used to be deep veins of solid gold in which you could chip out a shovel full or more, one could practically retire. Now all there is, is dust. Some mines now get a few ozs. per 100 tons of earth.

Gold is not a super conductor. It is a slightly better conductor than copper. It is not a rare earth either.

And the fact that humans were finding the stuff washed out of quartz deposits in mountain streams all over the planet sort of proves no one had previously been mining it since those quartz deposits would have been the easiest to mine as they were nice big chunks at the surface surrounded by fragile quartz crystals.

"ET influence" is just bullshit new-age substitute for god. One is as phony as the other. "altered and/or designed?" What we have here is new-age religion gussied up as speculative science. There is no Wizard behind the curtain, Dorothy.

vincentML -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/8/2014 5:31:39 AM)

quote:

Except that evolution in species is no longer a theory...it is fact and has been proven in the science of the laboratory. Scientists have bacteria evolve right before our eyes.

Not a "theory" in the ordinary everyday common man use of the term which substitutes "theory" for "hypothesis." However, evolution is not a "fact." It is a scientific theory. And it could be wrong. Just not likely. A scientific theory is an explanation of facts and observations. It is always open to change.
