Maybe consider some more recent numbers. Things are changing.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/162398/sex-marriage-support-solidifies-above.aspx

Yeah. We're up to a whole 26% of Republicans supporting marriage equality. At that rate in a couple of centuries...

Only 22% of Americans still identify as Republican. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/166763/record-high-americans-identify-independents.aspx

That's a good point. So I have a plan. We pick a state that has a shit load of democrats, like say california. Then we wait for an election that we know will draw the most liberals out to vote. Obama's election would have been a good example, then we ask the people to vote on gay marriage. If the only ones against it are those 22 % there should be no problems getting it passed. Right? I mean with all those lefties out there backing up us gays, how could it possibly lose.

Oh wait...they tried that one already and it failed miserably.

Dumbass liar

Maybe you could be a bit clearer. What exactly did I lie about? As far as I know prop 8 didn't have a problem getting passed in CA in 2008 and there were record numbers of democrats voting in that one. If the left is so accepting of gays, why did they shoot down gay marriage there?

Maybe you should realize that things change over time and  that 2008 was 6 years ago.

And for the record just because someone doesn't condone gay marriages doesn't mean they hate gays.

Ahhh...yes it does.
It means that you feel that they are not good enough to enjoy the same goodies you do. I am sure that all your gay friends appreciate your tolerance of their "deviance"[8|]

Dont tell me how I feel or think about people. Your wrong.

I did not tell you how you feel I pointed out what you said about how you feel. You said you are a bogot.

do yourself a favor and give your boil of rants some relief and squeeze the festering pus out of them.

When their are "boil suckers" like yourself there is no need for me to trouble myself with "squeezing".

I think they have came to head because the same junk keeps ozzing out.

Yes they do change, which is why I get confused when atheists start talking about the crusades when ever the subject of religion comes up. But that's another topic isn't it.

2008 may have been 6 long years ago but the claim that the republicans are a bunch of homophobes and the democrats are open minded loving individuals goes back farther than that. So tell me, if that is really true, why did prop 8 pass when so many of those open minded living individuals came out to vote?

Perhaps the issue isn't so partisan after all.

600k votes out of 13 million cast. And now 6 years later things outside of your party things have changed for the better. Now if only you would get with that change.

Sister, I think it's possibly Tourette's.
Btw your gay, correct? Notice I called you sister? That's how much I am bigoted against you. I sense your heart and I like you. Contrary to the belief I'm a unfair violent bigot I am not.

You claimed that Democrats tried putting marriage equality to a vote in a blue state and "it failed miserably" That of course was a lie as I established.

It was a mistake, but I don't expect you to understand the difference. Baby steps and all. And you were right, my bad. It was the republicans who pushed to get it on the ballot. It was the democrats who voted it in.

The story appears to be a bit more complex than that.

The vote on Proposition 8 was polarized to a remarkable degree along the lines of party
identification, ideology, and religiosity.  The largest divide—fully 60 percentage
points—was between conservatives and liberals (82‐22).  A similarly large gap (51
points) existed between Republicans and Democrats.

It seems inevitable that the Supreme Court will have to take one of these state court cases and simple over turn all the bans once and for all in the up coming term.

There is a lot to be said for checking your facts before opening your mouth. As I've pointed out to you before this is overwhelmingly a partisan issue where you're vote gets used to oppress gay people.
