Yes it does. It disconnects the person from all their memories which means they are completely disoriented. If you've never dealt with someone with it you have no idea.

My grandfather had it and the further it progressed the meaner he got, so another assumption falls flat.

yeah you really have no clue

Do you not know where Chickamauga is? I guess you are the one who is not from the south. For those who do not know. Chickamauga is the site of a famous battle, more men died at Chickamauga than at any battle besides Gettysburg, just inside the Georgia border where Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee come together just southeast of Chattanooga. It is at the base of Lookout Mountain.

My family is from DeKalb County Alabama which is just across the state line from Chickamauga. We've lived there since at least the removal of the Cherokee and family legend says we may have some Cherokee blood so we may have been there literally since prehistory. Don't tell me I'm biased against the south.

I grew up in MO, even lived in Chicago for a year or so, I have lived in Alabama since 1981.
I have a degree in history so I am well aware of the historical significance of Chickamauga.
My ancestry includes Sioux.
I tell you these things only to refute your irrelevant arguments.
Read the Huffington article before saying anything else stupid, it undermines many of your position.

So you're not southern. So don't give me any more of that biased against the south crap.

I've lived in the South longer than you have.
I chose to live here you chose to live in Chicago and sound like you always have.

I was born in Alabama and grew up there and in the Atlanta suburbs. I moved to Chicago after I got out of the service. But no matter what I'm southern and you're not. Just ask your neighbors who are actual southerners you will always be that yankee who moved in.

Wrong again

At worst they think I am a southerner with the misfortune of being born in a border state.
Some think I am from Texas I lived there too.
Now if it isn't too much trouble have you by any chance actually read the Huffington article?
Do you have any intention of discussing the actual subject?

No. I see where you jump to conclusion unsupported by anything. You perhaps should take your own advice from another thread and compare other sources. The huffpo piece is one of the worst out there for details.

The girlfriend from inside the house could tell it was an old man and that it was no big deal.

Well, let's see. First, from the New York Times:
Sheriff Wilson said he wished Mr. Hendrix had just stayed inside. But he knows it was a tense situation. "When you listen to the 911 calls, it’s evident to me that there was fear displayed at least by the female who lived there," he said.
Next, from your link to the always reliable Fox News:
The woman said that she did not consider the stranger "a big deal" and warned Hendrix that he appeared to be an old man.
And finally, from the local Times Free Press:
Hendrix and his fiancee were fully cooperative, Wilson said. "Both [their] stories matched completely," the sheriff said.
And from this you "know" what happened, eh?

K.

I'm basing nothing on their statements from that night. However the local paper article does include details of the event you did leave out such as the lack of street lights and other details that do not come from them but you knew that.

And the stuff from Fox is from a local Fox station and has other sources as well.

How about that you have suddenly decided that fox is a good news source.
So you deny that he was stopped by a cop at 2:30 to whom it was not obvious that he was a helpless old man
So you now repudiate your own claim that he thought he was at his own home, reinforced by what he told the cop
So you deny the obvious, that if he thought it was his house then he would have considered Hendrix the intruder
And you want to believe, even though you have stated there wasn't enough light for Hendrix to see Westbrook
clearly that the GF looking into said darkness from inside a house with the lights on could?

Lucylastic -> RE: Senseless shooting: Gunman kills man with Alzheimersquiquit (3/9/2014 9:05:59 AM)

Here s a link to the killer

http://chattanoogan.com/2012/8/22/232546/Chattanoogan-Joe-Hendrix--Living-Large.aspx

His military back ground and training is minimal. Total of about two years. The first year in boot camp and training and the second in the hospital. His combat experience is non existant, two weeks on the ground in the "sand box"before being hospitalized with crohns disease (tummy ache)allowing just enough time to get his picture taken in "battle rattle" with his rifle.

Notice the pictures of the house. No access to the building on the garage side of the house. The window on the other side of the house are too high to access from the ground. Thus the only access to the house is from the front or the back. Two of the windows on the front are also too high to allow easy access. This makes the house itself quite easily defensible, no reason to go outside to play rambo. Note also the pictures of him with newt the fool and the other clown...this speaks directly to PI (pollitical influence) to keep him from being indited for any crime of ignorance or stupidity.

What does he do for a living? He is a professional liar(information specialist for a politican).

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/11/28/337187/man-shot-killed-alzheimers-man/

Here is a pic showing front and side of house. Clearly no one could get through those windows unless they were about twelve feet tall. Notice how the stone block that supports the house goes around the back of the house so there would be no access to windows on the back either.

The attached story says there was a porch light and it was on.
I actually posting this on behalf of someone else.....

The fear she showed in the 911 call would seem to trump the no big deal comment wouldn't it?

No idea. Different angles, different views. But the night of the incident she told the investigators she did not think he was a danger and looked like an old man.
