Watch Jesse Ventura slap the 1% here.

Though I don't agree with Mr. Ventura that politics is the answer, and still believe that the problem is systemic... I do admire his raw honesty and total disregard for what people may think of him. In my opinion, what you see with this man is what you'll get.

Including the disprespect he showed at McP's.

Being that the McP issue is still undecided and controversial, the fact that you have suggested otherwise speaks volumes.

I couldn't get the video to play.

Help a guy out, here? "McPs"?

servantforuse -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 4:39:18 AM)

Only problem is, Jesse Ventura is a one percenter.

thishereboi -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 5:29:44 AM)

Yea, I just love listening to rich people whine and bitch about other rich people. I guess his millions don't count.

servantforuse -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 5:32:17 AM)

A bit hypocritical. A guy with a net worth well over 12 million dollars who doesn't like the 1 %'ers. Nice

MercTech -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 6:41:11 AM)

I'd like to quote something I overheard while waiting tables at a private club way back in the day; "After the first million the money doesn't matter it is the power and control".

Yes, it speaks to the fact that I live in San Diego and have friends that are current and former Seals.

lovmuffin -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 10:11:58 AM)

What is McP's ? I'm not familiar with what you're talking about.

servantforuse -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 10:20:20 AM)

As I understand it, a Navy seal got into a fight with Jesse and slugged him. That seal was later murdered. Jesse said something like, " he deserved to get killed" or something like it. Jesse the body is an idiot.

OsideGirl -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 10:34:37 AM)

Jesse Ventura was giving the commencement speech for a BUDS class. (He was UDT) He went to McP's where there was an Irish wake going on for a Seal that died when he threw himself on a grenade to protect his team.

According to Seal lore, Jesse Ventura was against the war in Iraq and is said to have made a comment to the effect of "You deserve to lose a few". Chris Kyle struck him and left before the police could be called.

Jesse Ventura says it never happened. (which isn't a surprising stance because admitting he was knocked down in bar would ruin his reputation) The owner and staff at McP's has maintained the "we didn't see anything" stance (which isn't surprising because going either way would destroy the business) The majority of Seals that I've talked to maintain that Chris Kyle's version is closer to the truth.

There's an awful lot of smoke, for there not to be a fire and in the end, I choose to believe the Seals that live in that community and have better and more direct information.

Well just as long as the US tax code continues to understand that a 15% tax rate is needed to give millionaires incentive to make millions with their millions sleeping in and from the golf course and a 39% tax rate is sufficient incentive for you in the great worker's paradise, to make $200,000 bust'n your ass 50-60 hours a week everyday.

Everything is working perfectly when the richest 85 people in the world are worth as much as the poorest 3.5 Billion people. And everything is just fine when 95% of all income growth over the last 5 years went to the US's richest 1%...it's a wonderful life.

You see, this all has to be because according to those NBA 'financial consultants,' we are to understand that one needs to make more than $10 million a year to...feed their families.

"The poor shall inherit the Earth."

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man get into heaven."

What's even funnier are the have nots who constantly gripe about the haves and who covet their money.

mnottertail -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 12:18:35 PM)

not so much, most of the haves stole it anyway, from have nots. And not so much that either, in my many experiences, the poor are the only folks in the world who have reasonable views of money.

the rich get poorer and the poor get the blame
well done

mnottertail -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 12:51:27 PM)

But we see that the haves are the ones that are coveting the money.  Pay a man a living wage, jesus! thats communism!  Be an american and manufacture in america and sell in america and make americans strong and self sufficient?  jesus! that communism!  I am rich and pay 100, 999 in taxes and out of my millions you want me to pay more than the 10% of actual money coming in?   while you only pay 33% of your income in tax amounting to 2500 dollars?  no, we dont have actual percentages and actual money mixed in these conversations, that would be: jesus! Thats communism!!

and so on, ad nauseam.

subrob1967 -> RE: Ventura Slaps the 1% Hard (3/5/2014 1:17:46 PM)

The left sure do love their catchphrases. Define "a living wage", is it $20 an hour, $50 an hour, $Eleventy billion dollars an hour?

Why the fuck should anyone pay a non skilled floor sweeper a "living wage"?
What gives a non skilled worker the right to a high wage?
Whats wrong with starting at the bottom and working your way up?
Whats wrong with educating yourself, gaining skills and improving your earning potential?
