Affect the rate that people with permits might carry? b) Doesn't affect the perception that people are allowed to fight back might change how frequently a victim is willing to put a cap in your ass - you think that doesn't affect the criminals point of view. I for one think it does. I certainly don't have evidence either way. But here's what we know. You certainly can't say that increased rights of gun ownership lead to increased violence, can you. What you gloss over is that Chicago was the murder capital of the us according to the FBI in 2012. And it no longer is. And, yanno, if this actually was an isolated incident - who knows. But you know what.. I don't think there has ever been a place in the US where the appeal of gun prohibitions lead to an increase in violence.

The numbers reflect six fewer homicides than the same period in 2013, and 55 fewer homicides since the same time in 2012. Jesus Mary And Joseph!!!! So, what accounts for that cuz the article you put up as proof of this asswipe is quoted as 55 from two years ago 6 from last year, why did you not put in the first quarter of last year? The lie is clear by your statistics. But that number would be 65 + 6 wouldn't it? And there isnt any permit or ban gonna account for that. what was it first quarter 2011? first quarter 2010? first quarter 2009? account for the differences with causality, something you dont have here.

To the various and sundry who don't bother to get their facts straight, The CCW permits have only just started getting issued. Crime has been dropping for years. BTW crime is always sharply down when we have a bad winter. The bad guys don't hang out on the street when it is freezing cold and this has been the worst winter in at least 20 years.
