Alright, let me see if I have this right.

According to some on this board, as well as Bundy's supporters this is the way the American system works.

I dont like a certain law or laws so I basically tell the government to shove it up their asses, because the state passed some unconstitutional law 40 years ago that took the land, authority or whatever from the Federals.

The federal government disagrees with me and goes into the courts to push their position with a court orders.

Now I get a who bunch of armed extremists who agree with my point and they show up ready to fight the government agencies and personnel with deadly force.

The government backs down so I win.

Is that about right?

Oh i think this is far from over. One side gets paid to do what they do, the other side is volunteers paying their own way. Who will win the game of wait them out?

When you have a government that announces they will selectively enforce the law, should we be surprised that some citizens decide to selectively obey the law?

Personally, I dont, however others seem to think Bundy won.

I suspect the next legal action is to put a federal lien on Bundy's property, or simply file a 30 day lien, then seize the property and tell Bundy to take a walk.

Yes. I do not argue with the sentiment. I do not think "this" is the issue that will ignite any significant unrest. What I said about government selectively enforcing also applies to the occupy wall streeters. What I think will ignite serious unrest is when the interests of the western ranchers overlap the interests ofthe occupy crowd. And I mean that in the broadest brush sense. As in when two totally opposite spectrum crowds see the same thing and both cry "injustice", that is when something significant will happen. Until then, divide and conquer will continue to be effective. And the way I see it, anyone throwing out "Libtard" or "teabagger" or other such epithets, is just playing into the hands of the power structure.

The LAST thing these people want is a war with the US Government. For if they did and are as brave as they claim to be they would not have put women and children on the front lines. Only cowards do that! They are nothing more than hot air bags. Cowards to the core. You want to start a war with your government then you STAND UP as men and do not use women and children as your shields. Disgusting cowards!!

Just as bad as they claim they want a war against their government there are government law enforcement officers who want to shut them down just as bad. These cowards know this and this is why they threw their women and children in front of them as shields.

Cowardice had nothing to with it. It's a form of first, psyops, and secondly, intimidation. Shoot an unarmed woman or child and that does not endear the cops to public opinion. It's a very viable tactic where confrontation is not desired but the moments solution, cops leaving, is.

Of course they don't want a war. Nor does the government want yet another instance of citizens being killed that can be painted in an extremely negative light. So they backed off . . . . For now.

Edit: if you have not realized it, this is not about who has more guns, this is about how it will play out on the nightly news.

According to Mack, the so-called retreat was nothing more than theatrics. “It was a ploy to get people to back off, to get people out of the way. They weren’t expecting us to get this amount of people here. They were surprised by the numbers and so they wanted a way to get us out of here. This was a ploy to get us out of here and then they’re going after the Bundys.” Mack said that when he was at the Bundy ranch on Saturday there were an estimated 600 to 800 protesters present when federal agents were releasing the cattle.

Right, psyops, put women up front to take the bullets while you hide behind them and return fire. Why stop at women, throw some kids up there too.

This makes a lot of sense, actually, since they are arguing a point that has already been invalidated. The sagebrush rebellion failed. Look at a state published map of Nevada put out by Nevada. Every bit of Public Lands under Federal management is listed as Federal land.

Then of course there is the fact this idiot's cattle moved beyond the first area he was grazing onto land managed by the National Park Service because it was part of the Lake Mead National Recreation area.

In fact most of the cattle rounded up were not even on the originally disputed land, but hey, ignore the facts, since the facts usually cause people who support this kind of thing massive headaches.

So we have these nutjobs claiming there were snipers in the hills, are doing armed patrols around the Bundy home because the feds are gonna raid the place and arrest the Bundy family.

By all means, let one of the trigger happy lunatics shoot a Federal Agent. that will give the BLM a reason to turn the whole thing over to the DHS, which will call in the FBI and US marshal service response teams, and all hell will break loose. A lot of these "militia" members will be dead, a lot will be in jail, and when it is all said and done, they will get 10 to 25 years for interning with a government agency, if not charged in Federal Court of Capital Murder and get the death penalty.

Then of course it will be Obama's fault because some dip shit goat roper got too big for his britches and figured he could tell the government to shove it.

Funny thing about the militia movement, most states have militias that are actually under the command of the governor, as such they are legitimate under the constitution and the 2nd amendment.

One such militia is the Texas State Guard. At present there is a group trying to organize a unit for this particular area of Texas, which when the number of interested parties is sufficient the unit will be activated under the Texas Military chain of command ending with the Governor.

There is another state militia that has the organized units under the command of the country sheriff, which in a time of activation would be considered auxiliaries to the main arm of the State Militia.

Anyone interested in seeing what actually constitutes a state militia can look up Title 32 of the U.S. Code.

FYI, Glen Beck does not support these wackos.

How is putting women and kids in the line of fire a viable option for "avoiding confrontation"?
There wouldn't be a line of fire to put them in as a human shield if a confrontation hadn't already started.

That looks more like the national guard.
