Collarspace seems to be the new URL for the site, which is fine. It still works, loads well, and I haven't noticed any glitches or oddness other than the lack of personal messages (which may or may not be glitch related to what's going on). Either way, the site is still going, and it doesn't really matter what the URL is.

Fwiw the domain name 'collarme.com' is very valuable.

It has over 12 years worth of backlinks to it.

It has a global Alexa rank of 6,860 and US rank of 2,130. To put that into perspective for people who are not familiar with ranking this site 'collarchat.com' has a global Alexa rank of 131,053 and a US rank of 105,420.

If you type 'collarme' (not the .com nobody else does) in Google it returns 1,590,000 results and the .com comes top of the search - 'collarspace' returns 2,870 results and the site is not to be found anywhere in the results.

This...or something else if the other, more vocal partner opts to re-write the code and show what she brings to the table...and she could end up making a VASTLY better site because of it. Clearing cache/cookies and history didn't work. Changing DNS (to the Google DNS, even) didn't work. It just doesn't exist in all corners of the internet yet.

Are the MODS speaking for Eric on this thread or are they expressing their own views?

Neither Eric, nor Tiffany, have made a statement about privacy issues for site users. While I can see that the access and functions seem restored now, I still am not satisfied that it won't get blocked again. Can that assurance be made yet?

Also, my mortgage got passed from company to company in just 3 years, but each time, I was notified and had the option to look elsewhere. I was not required to make the transition just because the banks did. So, I'm wondering why that step is missing here.

Some users may prefer to delete, unsubscribe, etc... from CM, while others may choose to stay. Maybe the legal stuff will mean that Tiffany owns CM and her wordpress blog is full of offers from users to help her get the site going without Eric. Conversely, some users may wish to go to CollarSpace in support of Eric. Of course, some will not trust either party's business practices and choose to go elsewhere altogether. And, let's not forget those who were waiting for this business opportunity to appear.

An announcement from the owners of CM would seem necessary. If for no other reason than to inform users how their information is being kept, sold or used.

As for the Tiffany/Eric thing... they are friends and I hope they heal. Eric's silence is not admirable and doesn't inspire trust. Tiffany's interference with the site is not admirable and doesn't inspire trust. If Eric owes her money, then this does not bode well for his future in business. Tiffany's use of her daughter's illness as a factor to be considered in business dealings reflects, at best, poor business sense, and at worst, vile parenting. They are both a mess!

What's clear on this thread is that conclusions drawn without facts reflect the poster's emotional life, hurt history and resentments towards "the other" sex.

Just in case it all blows to hell, please accept my thanks for those who post on the forums. :)

I'm sorry you got cut off for two days. Really. I am. I'm the same chick who got a laptop just to keep up with damn CM mail because I went to a con for three days. I'd leave Thursday and come home Sunday night to hundreds of messages.

It's gone? Well, you just got a lesson about who is really important to you in life. If you honestly cared, you'd have gotten their phone number, sent them a text, or met them for coffee. You "weren't ready," you say? Don't blame Me, or Tiffany, or Eric, or anyone else. That's your inaction. Don't blame anyone else that you didn't move when you had the chance. If the moment passed you by, you have to look at the part you played in that.

Most folks on this thread don't know Me. I'm ok with that. Look at My join date. I was here seven years. I'm not here just to stir shit.

I will tell you this. I was happy these prior eight months of My life because I seized the moment. It wasn't because of a site, or Eleven, or Alpha, or Gamma, or Three. It's because I grabbed an opportunity that presented itself. That's what you should do, too.
