hi, do women think about raping men?

Yes, especially when they respond to threads that are 2 years old.[8D]

How on Earth did you get out of that freezer?

ShaktiSama -> RE: Do we really need men? (1/29/2008 11:50:58 AM)

Yep.  I have a good deal of anger and frustration with patriarchy and gender terrorism.  I try to keep it from spilling over onto individual men, or even to males in general, because in some respects men are victimized by this system as much or more than women are.  Many men live short, unhappy lives full of violence, alienation and pain; in some parts of the world, boys are being pressed into military service before the age of 12, and the horrors and abuse they endure in the armies they are enslaved to serve are incredibly corrosive to their humanity.

But I will admit--these feelings and thoughts are definitely integrated into my dominance as a woman.  And they would certainly inform any arguments I would put forward in favor of feminism or female supremacy.  In general, I have absolutely no use for "female supremacy" in its BDSM fantasy form, but I think that a lot more female leadership in politics and social spheres is probably a very good idea for the human race.

Just on a practical level, it simply does not require as much violence and oppression to maintain female power and authority in a society as it does to maintain male power and authority.  Even just at the family level, matrilineal descent is far more logical and sane than patrilineal descent.  A child always knows who its mother is!  And no one has to be locked in a cage, economically enslaved, terrorized, raped, or forbidden to use birth control in order to be certain that families can trace their history through the maternal line.  [:'(]

P.S.  Sure do wish that the issues raised by this old thread were no longer so contemporary.  [>:]

Dear Oxford English Dictionary,

Please consider the following as an addition to the etymology of your definition of 'Unlettered' (adj.):

Let me start by saying I am having a bad day, so this is not a happy thread. I do not feel well, my arthritic back is acting up very badly, my gallbladder hurts and yes, it needs to be removed. I am also PMSing and yes, I own a gun   and no this has nothing to do with BDSM, it is just a frustrated Mistress letting off a bit of steam.

I made the mistake of listening to the news and it put me in an even worse state of mind then I was already in. The news story was about the rape of an Iraqi girl by American soldiers. Now I am not looking for political debate, an ethical debate or a religious one, or anything of that nature. I am not looking to flame or be flamed. I just want to bitch. I love men, so please do not think I am a man hater, for I am nothing of the kind. I have a male sub that I love with all my being.

It is just; when you as a woman look at the world today can you truly say that men have done a wonderful job in their so-called leadership roles? Am I the only one who some days wants to beat the living shit out of  nearly every alpha male she see's and not in a fun way?

Do you ever get sick and tired of hearing how women are supposed to be submissive to men and to let them rule things, when most of them cannot even rule a pet hamster?
Do you ever want to scream stop raping and killing us (and our children) because you believe that it is your God given right to do so, or just because your physically stronger/bigger (not always) that you can get away with it?
Do you ever want to physically bash some guy who has beaten and or abused his wife/girlfriend in some fashion, then justifies it by saying that the bible (or whatever religion/philosophy) says its ok?
Do you ever feel the urge to choke the life out of a proven child molester when you see them on the news?
Do you seethe when you hear that women do not need equal rights or control of their own bodies IE abortion?
Do you ever get angry with other women who seemingly blindly follow anything the patriarchal system instructs her too?

Do you ever feel that all the men should be gathered up and put into cages and only let out for breeding purposes and drone work?

~Lashra

Yours faithfully,

The Sane.

That line made it worth trudging through the rest of this wonderfully florid post.

How long did it take you to find this worthless thread and bump it up with a dumb response such as this?

As for the topic at hand...I think its pretty sad that women say the things they say in threads like these yet they expect us to help them in times of need. Also, you never see men posting stuff like this, because he'd be bashed and/or the thread would get deleted.

tigerstyle -> RE: Do we really need men? (1/29/2008 5:49:11 PM)

In some moods, I see men as analogous to the first stage of a Saturn V rocket. Powerful, stupid, explosive and uni-directional, good only for lifting the payload of culture out of the gravity well.

It's amusing to think about which would be a happier culture: all-female or all-male.

For a good idea of what an all-female society might look like, read Vertigo's Y: The Last Man. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

I favor masculine and feminine synergy both at an individual level and collective level. Thus, I favor a culture with active participation by men and women over one that has only one or the other gender.

Within a one-gender scenario, it is hard for me to distinguish how much of behavior is biological and how much is cultural. Is anyone here familiar enough with gay bars and lesbian bars to offer insights relevant to the question posed by Tigerstyle?

Cheers,

Sea

Ok, fine.

But when the rest of y'all finally get herded into the cages, guess who you're gonna find already chillin' in the good spot by the window [8D]

I know I am going to get in a ton of trouble for saying this, but if Hillary isn't the number 1 enabler I never saw a worse example of one.

Lashra, hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Lastly, whats that saying about men, every woman should own one.

I forgot to add that I am interested in the caging thing with the right woman.

I think I missed the last few in the series of the Last Man.

jonrobinson -> RE: Do we really need men? (1/29/2008 9:39:57 PM)

I'm wondering if there is a way i can strengthen your distaste for my gender.
Might be tough but I'll give it the old college try.

Your own posts suggest very strongly you are a victum to your own
emotions and of how you have been treated. I feel sorry for you.
Not all men are out to get you. In fact... its only 94.7 percent of the population.

Apperently our entire existance has really just ruined your day/life/century but I suspect its more like
you are working in an environment that left a bad taste in your mouth.
The post tramatic stress you have experienced feeds your anger until you find a way to
vent it properly but than some only see what they wish to.
you clearly don't care for men, us being guilty of having remained in existence and all...
You could try chastity, finding a man that likes abusive women and treat him accordingly,
you have come to the right place for certain, that you'd be just like us men...owww bummmsiesss.
(if you find such a man don't tie him up and sit on his face though, we like those sort of things  :)
and therefore would be counter productive to your efforts), or you could always find a woman,
animal of choice or a battery operated boyfriend or simply do nothing as it may yet be possible to
  salvage the situation.. lol.
On the other hand you could try to look harder at the root of your issues but than
what would be the fun of that??
Lets face it...  you need us or you would need to have something else to focus your anger on.
Remember.. releasing anger is healthy, holding it in is what does the damage
and don't take everything too seriously.. maybe even lighten up once in awhile

tigerstyle -> RE: Do we really need men? (1/29/2008 10:05:03 PM)

It's not "issues" that are flipping the OP out, it's the patriarchy.

So the story is based on a comic book series where a plague or some chemical or biochemical agent leads to sudden death of all organisms that have a Y chromosome except one man and his male monkey, thus nearing extinction of all things male. And so there are attempts to kill him, save him, find out how he survived, more. Amidst all this, he is running around the world trying to find his fiance.

I hear that the writer has a sense of humor. I wonder if it is twisted enough that in the end we find out that the man is sterile! ;-)

Cheers,

Sea

Aellea nice post ... women need to stop seeing other women as competition (and yes am sure this statement will have a few people saying that they don't) but from a sociological point of view it is very common.

I agree 100%. It took alot of painful self examination before I could get out of that whole mindset. Reminds me of the phrase I read once. "Women do not dress up for men, they do it for other women." It had nothing to do with wanting to please the other women but to outdo them. Fortunately, at least with the women I am close to, maturity removes most of that competition and unites us in a way most men just cannot fathom.

Well yes, of COURSE women dress up to impress other women, men could care less! I could spend hours buying the perfect wonderful outfit, just the right color to match my skin tone and cut to accentuate my figure, get my nails and hair done etc... but if I looked really, REALLY great, the best I could hope for is that it would make him imagine me naked. *sigh*

When I look good to impress the women, oh well then....it's a conversation starter. (especially shoes)  *double sigh*

I'm a bit discouraged about men these days myself. I would have to say "we" don't need them. Of course it is handy to have one around when I need a jar opened or a tire changed. The trouble is they can't just do it gracefully. They have to snigger and swagger when you ask for help, acting like they're SOOO special because they can open a jar with one little "snick". Teasing and poking fun because you can't do it.

Well la-de-fricken-DA!

Yup- I hate em'

Ok, now if I go gay I can be gorgeous AND avoid ridicule. If I buy one of those electric jar openers I just might be able to do this.

Some of us DO care about the way you dress, the right shoes, the manicured nails, and we're called sissies, and not MANLY enough for you.

Women choose the "bad boys", and then whine when they act bad...I don't get it.
