I doubt he will be too upset. As Bama just stated, Nixon wasnt impeached, although moves were in place, making Ron correct.

Well Tommy boy,

Only your mother is allowed to call me that. I will thank you to keep a civil tongue in your mouth.

Oh Tommy, If youve been fucking my mother, I regret to inform you you now have HIV... Sorry about that... I hear the health care plan now covers the drugs so you can live a nice long life...

It was a lady I play bridge with who said she was your mother.
Why do you think your mother is a slut?
Are you the one who gave her hiv?

My birth mother was no only a slut ... and a junkie too... That how you know her? It would explain a HELL of a lot if you were a meth and heroin addict like she is

But seriously id remember to triple wrap that shit when your fucking strange women....

This day long battle has gotten ruthless. It might be best to tone it down a little. I don't want to step on your discussion, but this is getting a bit too feisty.

Thank you

One normally would not get away with it but he is careful where and how he does it.

I have seen him do it time and time again the motherphoquer uses english and logic to spank fool's asses purple.

and "everyone" is so used to it that it kinda hits and then slides off the wall like flung dung that lost it's smell.

"Everyone" also knows the reason. After it piles up on the floor the shit breathers come out for dinner.

It is a hobby with him. Not all the time, just a lot.

More of a vocation than a hobby. He really likes to piss on the parades of fools.
Me too also.

Being correct about nothing of consequence is a merit badge one should avoid.

I guess we need a time out.

Skex -> RE: The ignorance of liberals (7/15/2014 6:26:50 PM)

Nixon resigned because the writing was on the wall, he was going to be impeached and he was going to be convicted and given the boot. Clinton meanwhile laughed impeachment off because he understood that there was no way it was going anywhere in the Senate and it basically made the Republican's look like the bunch of petty assholes they are.

As to this whole "Ignorance of liberals" nonsense. In my experience most attacks conservatives level against liberals are simply projection of their own flaws. They accuse us of wanting big government but every time they're in power government grows, they accuse us of being financially irresponsible yet the deficit always balloons on their watch (the debt went from a couple hundred million to multiple trillions under Reagan).

Every time conservatives accuse liberals of something I start to look and figure out how they're trying to do that thing they are accusing us of. Did you for instance know that the first gun control laws in the United States were put in place by conservatives in the California legislature and signed into law by that Conservative idol Ronald Reagan? You know the guy who's administration was making deals with terrorists to buy drugs to sell on our streets to finance right wing militias (Read death squads) in Nicaragua.

Fuck conservatives, they've done nothing positive for the species, at every human advance they're the ones dragging their heels and supporting the tyrants and despots. During the American Revolution they were the loyalists and Tories who wanted to remain a part of England, During the Civil war they were the ones who fought to maintain the institution of human slavery.

When early hominids came down from the trees I have no doubt the conservative apes complained about how the trees were good enough for their ancestors and they're good enough for them to. Probably objected to cooking food and wearing clothing as well.

Conservatives were the ones who fought against the civil rights movement, the labor movement, suffrage. Despite the attempt to try and compare prohibition with gun control they were and are the ones who supported the prohibition of drugs and launched the war on the same, a war who's result has been to incarcerate nearly 1 out of every hundred human beings in this nation; a rate higher than any other first world nation and eclipsing many of the totalitarian regimes we look down upon.

I've found conservatives to be scared petty hateful people who assume that because they're awful human beings everyone else must be as well.

Consider we're talking about people who unironically believe that government funded climate researchers have more incentive to lie about the affects of humans on the climate than a multi-trillion dollar industry who's very existence relies on the activities that are leading to those effects. That there is more incentive for people telling us a uncomfortable and inconvenient fact that requires us to make major sacrifices to our lifestyles than for those who are paid by the people who profit from ignoring it.

The conservative leaders are hucksters and snake oil salesmen who make their living telling people what they want to hear. Who tell them that sure you can have it all, you can eat what ever you want, drink as much as you want and horde as much as you want and there will be no consequences and no cost.

These are people who are perfectly happy to enjoy the fruits of our collective society but are the first to cry and whine they are asked to pay their share and pitch in. People who want all the rights of citizenship but want nothing to do with the responsibilities and obligations that come along with the benefits.

Conservatives calling liberals ignorant? People who pride themselves on their ignorance who dismiss experience, evidence and expertise in favor of "common sense" and "gut instinct". The irony boggles the mind.

I can not think of a single case in human history where conservatives were on the right side of an issue. Not one. Slavery? they were all for it. Oppression of women? hell yeah they're all for it. Fascism? They loved it. Civil rights? Racial integration? Labor rights? Religious freedom? oh how they hated and fought against those. The list is near endless. In every time and every age conservatives have been the lackeys and flunkies to the Tyrants, Dictators and general assholes of human history.

Liberalism is the philosophy that we human beings can indeed improve our lot in life, that we have things to learn that will benefit us and the best is yet to come.

In contrast Conservatism is the philosophy that are that all we need to know is already known that we should accept our lot in life and the golden age is behind us.

Well history has shown us that Liberalism is the superior philosophy, it has brought us indoor plumbing, clean food and water, medicine and the science that enabled the creation of this very device we're having this discussion on. It has shown that we can indeed improve our lot in life and that the things we learn do indeed benefit us and as past is prologue there is no reason to think that better things are not ahead of us.

If GM and Chrysler had been allowed to collapse that would have wiped out both the 2 million+ jobs the companied employed directly plus the millions more in the businesses that supplied parts to them. In the middle of the worst recession since the Great Depression. That would have essentially shut down our economy.
Is that what you really wanted?

What would have come up in their places, Ken?

And why did Ford, which turned down the bailout, recover faster than GM and Chrysler?

A conspiracy by the Illuminati, obviously. Because we all know, courtesy of Ken and others, that the government has an unbeatable track record not only in picking winners but in enabling the recipients of our largess ("our" is intentional) to maximize their profligacy.

Fortunately, when leftists attack conservatives, it is never a projection of their own flaws, but simply an illustration of the leftists's self-evident superiority. It must be so wonderful to be right all the time. Hugo Chavez looks up from his grave (because surely he would be in hell if such a place existed) and says "Maduro, Maduro, why hast thou forsaken me!? for Hugo was also another one who was universally correct. Just ask Sean Penn.

TheHeretic -> RE: The ignorance of liberals (7/15/2014 6:31:39 PM)

Given where the thread has gone (and they kinda go where they will), let's throw in another angle our participants from the left side of things aren't grasping too clearly.

For liberalism to succeed at the polls, the voters have to believe in the competence of government to actually carry out all that shit they promised to do. After 5 1/2 years of the Obama administration, and with another 2 until the majority of people really start paying attention to electing his replacement, I don't think that critical leg of liberalism is going to be fit to stand on.

How ignorant must liberals be, to think that all of the excuses of the President are going to help with that?

I only agree partially, unfortunately. It used to be that one needed a belief in the competence of government. Today, all one needs is a belief that government will take more from the producers to feed the parasites. That entitlement mentality, not just entitlement for others, but entitlement for oneself is far too prevalent for me not to be concerned.

Every time conservatives accuse liberals of something I start to look and figure out how they're trying to do that thing they are accusing us of. Did you for instance know that the first gun control laws in the United States were put in place by conservatives in the California legislature and signed into law by that Conservative idle Ronald Reagan?

Have you never heard of the Sullivan Act?
It was passed in New York before Reagan was even born.
How about the 1934 act which greatly restricted civilian ownership of full auto weapons.
Then there were the 19th century Jim Crow laws keeping firearms out of the hands of blacks.
We must not forget that in the American west it was not uncommon for those parts of town with high alcohol use and large law presence to prohibit firearms.
Next time know what you are talking about before you start typing again.

There are few liberals left. We today have almost nothing but leftists. Look at how they treated a decent liberal like Lieberman.

TheHeretic -> RE: The ignorance of liberals (7/15/2014 6:49:14 PM)

Well, Skex, I'll welcome you to our little basement corner of the internet, and suggest that maybe telling us conservatives what we think, and what our positions are might not be the way you want to get started.

The classical liberalism you describe as "believing we can make the world a better place," ain't the property of the left.

As a conservative, I certainly believe we can make the world a better place. I also believe that government programs are the tool of last resort, not the default answer to every fucking little thing that comes along.

If you'll be bringing interesting thoughts (or a great sense of humor) to the conversation, I'll be looking forward to what you have to say.

Mouth4Mistress -> RE: The ignorance of liberals (7/15/2014 6:54:30 PM)

Conservatives were for slavery? Where the hell are you getting your "facts" from?

Here's a little history lesson, verbatim from my friend's blog:

Prompted by yet another “Republicans hate minorities” Twitter argument.

A little history lesson for the liberals in the audience: the first African-American US Senator and the first SIX African-American US Representatives were members of the Republican Party.

Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels from Mississippi
Representative Benjamin Sterling Turner from Alabama
Representative Josiah Thomas Walls from Florida
Representative Jefferson Franklin Long from Georgia
Representative Joseph Hayne Rainey from South Carolina
Representative Robert Brown Elliott from South Carolina
Representative Robert Carlos De Large from South Carolina

Side note: the Currier & Yves drawing captions Jefferson Franklin Long as “Jefferson H. Long” (F becomes H), and Joseph Hayne Rainey as “Joseph H. Rainy” (missing the “e”).
So there’s some disagreement between spelling versions on Wikipedia & the original.

[Removed image that was too large for the forum.]
