I will rather take the views given by the experts than some blowhard in the desert.

Sure thing. It isn't like this patch of desert is the corridor that goes from Plant 42, to Edwards AFB, to the Navy's weapons center at China Lake...

Whats that got to do with anything...... You could just be flipping the burgers in the canteen for all I know. The point remains that in my link AMERICAN MILITARY experts say that extensive training would have been needed.

Is it true that any punk living in your zip code is as big an expert as you are?[8|]

"You've got to have people who are technically competent,"

This should not be confused with highly skilled.

How about you tell us smart guy? How many hours of training does it take to be technically competent and how many hours does it take to be highly skilled? I personally think you have created a difference that does ot exist.
The man that drives a militar jet aircraft goes to school for 18 months. The man who maintains the weapons system in that aircraft goes to school for 12 months. Neither can do the others job. Is one of these technically competent and the other highly skilled?

You've got an "expert" that might have been rounded up because he was going say what the reporter wanted to hear, or was sent out to give the talking point. I don't suppose you recall hearing that the Benghazi attack was just a boisterous movie review?

If you want to stage the Charge of the Light Brigade part II, leave my country out of it. President Obama (you know, the guy whose balls you like so much) has said Europe needs to step up, so get to stepping, if you think you've got what it takes to see it through.. You might want to go buy a space heater, before the rush.

I see a civil war in a corrupt country, with lots of cold war leftovers laying around.

BTW, I only flip burgers at fundraisers for charity. Usually they want me grilling the corn though.

The Malaysian plane was flying on an active route used by commercial airlines every day.

Ah. So everything is good, since it was groupthink dumbassery.

Wtf?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Vice President of the United States:

Biden: I Looked Putin In The Eyes And Told Him He Didn't Have A Soul

You can rest easy knowing that good ol' Joe Biden is heading up Barack Obama's A Team

But you ridiculed me and I actually know systems of the right type and era. Do you even know anything about air search or air targeting radars? IFF or transponders?

Do you think that could happen? Not a chance, in my view. If anything, the West, including the USA's government, would *rather* not find any real evidence against Russia - and most especially any buck that stops at Putin specifically. This is because the West can do bugger all about it. Putin knows this, and knows that everyone else knows it, too. It will be a truly world class embarrassment. Putin will make it clear to all of us that he's a thoroughgoing nasty little shit, as always, but won't give a toss what we think. He knows that nobody wants to get into a scrap with Russia and that no sanctions will make a serious dent in the Russian economy and way of life, either. This issue isn't about right, it's about might.

Now youre trolling again, I have never suggested involving anyone from the west including the US. You are able to project but its a shame you cant fucking read, nor even think.

If you had read anything about the US report into Benghazi, it indeed states that the first days protest was likelyto be over the film and the second days attack was by terrorists cashing in. That may be hard for your tiny brain to take in, seeing as you dont think American experts in the field are not really experts, despite being named in my link.

And when do I not ridicule you, Ken? It's the only thing you are good for, and that keeps you from going permanently behind the hide button.

You are a completely "in the box" thinker, Ken. That authoritarian streak of yours isn't just on politics, it permeates your entire worldview - you see one way, and all must conform - and the Soviets didn't do things that way. All you know, or claim to know, is related to how we were doing things.

You're full of shit.

First of all, all commercial aircraft, soviet included, have transponders that all work the same way. So despite you bullshit claim the soviets did not think outside any box on this. They conformed to international norms so they could fly their planes outside soviet airspace. Since IFF is simply a more sophisticated transponder and no one wants their own radar guided missiles shooting down their own planes it is also safe to assume that the soviets had some sort of IFF and that the Gadfly's radar was designed to pick up transponders and IFF signals. Doing otherwise would endanger their own many hundreds of millions of rubles aircraft since they would then be simply unidentified dots on the screen just like the enemy. Do you think the soviet weapon systems designers were that stupid?

TheHeretic -> RE: We'll reroute aircraft around a volcano, but not a warzone??? (7/21/2014 10:51:42 PM)

Ahh. So you're planning to head off into the width of Soviet tank tracks, then? Bypass the point in search of minutia to get pissy on?

Funny thing about that path on this one, Ken. Does it seem like a crew of untrained amateurs would be more or less likely than a trained crew to not understand that part of the system, and launch on the target anyway?

In trying to run away from it and make your irrelevant point, you've reinforced the point I've been making all along against this automatically requiring tech support from the Russians.

Have a lovely night.

Man you're a dumbass.

Go back and read my first post again. My argument all along has always been that this had to have been the separatists who are not well trained on the system or an intentional attack on a commercial jet which doesn't make any sense. But way to be an insulting ass.
