ORIGINAL: BamaD FR the gunaphobics don't want to address the fact that the cops (who actually studied the scene) say the doctor saved numerous lives That was dealt with on page three. Is your memory going? http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4715834 Not at all, but if you read the thread you will see that the rest of the gunaphobics decided it was time to discuss silly gunaphobic myths. You also ignored the fact that the man had several gunshot wounds and was no doubt going into shock. You also disappeared prior to the announcement that the hospital is not only not disciplining the doctor but reevaluating their self defense free zone policy. Something I wanted to ask you. You clearly, and correctly think that Israel has the right to arm and defend themselves in a hostile and dangerous world, why won't you grant me the same right? I don't deny you that right. I just don't want you doing it anywhere near me because I generally consider most people to be stupid and unreliable and therefore far too dangerous to be trusted to ever touch a firearm. So I can have the right, as long as I don't use it? Same thing since you want to restrict that right to the point that I can't exercise it. Keep in mind that much as you dislike it ha the doctor not been armed he would have been dead, and so would some of your "brave unarmed citizens". No. Like I said I'm fine with you carrying as long as you stay far away from me. And you have no idea what the outcome would have been if the doctor had not been armed. It could have been the same or worse you simply do not know. We do know that shooting the guy did not actually stop him.
