Black GOP Senator Blasts Democratic 'Race-Baiting'

Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina), the first black senator elected in the South since the Reconstruction era, is no fan of racially tinged Democratic attacks on his party.

It only took the Republicans 140 years. What's the problem?

So, you are proud to have (1) one black GOP house member out of some 200 sitting members. I've read your posting, and I'm curious if you see racism anywhere in the USA directed at minorities. The numbers in the house 200+ to 1 are lost upon you. The fact that 1/3 of GOP voters think Obama was born abroad is lost on you. The offensiveness of the Voter ID laws is lost upon you.

That is
A One more southern black senator than the Dems have ever gotten in.
B Shows that you are wrong about the GOP not reaching out to blacks, you do know that before they can run blacks the blacks have to reach back.
C I needed the same ID to get a cash advance on my credit card today that I needed to vote on Tuesday.
D Four African Americans have been elected to the Senate, two from each party.

You are aware there is an entire Black caucus which includes many southerners right? One appointed Senator winning reelection is nothing to crow about.

Blacks left the Republican party due to the Republican strategy of embracing southern racists. It is well documented. That you still want to deny it is baffling.

And what is the count in the House?

kdsub -> RE: Voter Demographics (11/6/2014 5:25:29 PM)

HERE is a 2000 link to an approximate density and location map of African Americans in the US where they could have the voting power to control their destiny.

If blacks want to be just as racists as whites and only vote according to color then all they have to do is ...register...and vote. They have the population to control...nominate...and elect who they please just... register... and vote. They can control the cities... police departments and hiring practices...register... and vote. They can nominate... and elect prosecutors...register... and vote. They can control hiring and firing... register... and vote. But for crying out loud... put your "HANDS UP" to press a button on a voting machine or shut up. No one but yourselves are your keepers... not 60+ 50K white men.

You need to quit posting garbage. Own the facts -- and talk about them (in the OP.)

There's really only one thing you can say, "Yes, the Republicans need to do a better job of courting and representing others. Having only one black GOP house member is embarrassing. The party needs to do better."

Quit posting garbage. That last post was deranged, deluded, and hyper insane.

I’m just curious … who would you say is the most racists in the following… a group of people of one color that vote 95% for a man of their own color… OR… a group of people who vote 53% for a man of a different color?

Tim Scott will find that there are no Republicans in the Congressional Black Caucus but there is already a Senate Democrat who is a member. Although the new Congresswoman from Utah has said she will join so Scott wouldn't be lonely on the right side of the caucus if he did join.

As of this election there is one black Dem senator, for some time now there has been none. Hard to have a black senatorial caucus when you have no black senators.

Not to the senate. And the republicans have had black Representatives.
J C Watts was majority whip Democrats have never allowed a black man(or woman) have that high a position.

quit claiming I said something I didn't.

kdsub -> RE: Voter Demographics (11/6/2014 9:38:55 PM)

What the hell does that link have to do with what I posted... one more time...will you answer my simple question... if you can. I will not let you ignore it.

I know it is uncomfortable for facts to be addressed but you...and blacks have to realize that you and they are no better than white America. As I've said on many threads racism now is just as strong in black America as it is in white. So how can whites be expected today to assume all the blame that blacks want to put on us? It will not happen.

If blacks think modern white Americans must still feel guilty for the sins of their grand parents they have a rude awakening coming. There will be no reparations... my children and black children have had the same opportunity to make of it as they can.... They need to stop whining and take advantage of affirmative action while it lasts...and that will not be much longer.

Butch
