Apparently it does.

The undocumented find a way to make a living today without most of the protections of our system while living inside our nation. Predatory employers pay them below minimum wage and otherwise mistreat them because they have no recourse. Now they will have legal status and they will be able to report this sort of thing. So right there for many their standard of living will rise and that will stimulate the rest of the economy.

As they achieve legal status they will enter the legal housing market and will insure their vehicles which are obvious benefits to society as a whole.

As a matter of fact numerous studies have shown that the President's action will result in a lot of economic growth for the US and will directly improve the lot of the formerly illegals.



while I agree that it will improve their lives I fail to see how making the employers pay fair wages is going to increase jobs or the economy. In fact if I had to guess I would say most of the illegals will find better jobs and the companies will find new illegals to exploit. Which means more competition for the jobs that are already here and more people collecting unemployment in the end.

But we all already knew you were a simpleton already...

no real logical answers.

I am hardly an expert at debating, but when people must resort to name calling, insulting, or belittling, it is often because whatever point or "facts" or idea's they have, must not hold much water.

Take the higher ground and laugh.
It often means you are making a better point and winning.

There is NO place in any sane debate when name calling and insulting is considered part of a rational discussion.

Take it as a complement on here.

The AP Fact Check (which was linked to in the newsbusters article) put out the information showing the inconsistencies with the truth ("gruberisms" according to Newsbusters). All the inconsistencies presented in the AP fact check were included in the newsbusters article, too. While the AP didn't call them gruberisms or state that Obama grubered the speech, they did show that he wasn't telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth, aka "grubering."

An increase in wages should provide for more disposable income, and when we dispose of income, it goes into the economy. That is one of many ways it helps, since we are like 60% based on consumption, we need to consume, we need to have money to do that.

And, when you have more money chasing the same amount of goods, what will happen then?



Well if I understood Ron they would have to create more goods to keep up with the demand. And while I am familiar with the concept I hadn't figure in the increase in income of those who can now work legally. It will also help the ones who are still illegal as I don't think this will stop some from wanting cheaper labor and they can take the place of the ones who get better jobs.
