Hey DarkSteven,
This is working great. I've only had the revised profile up for about 30-45 minute and I've already had 2 women check me out!
Only one slight problem, They are both Doms ! Not going to work. A slight clash of authorities. What say you?

I checked out your profile Skypilot. I think it's a good profile and it would grab my interest if I were looking until I got to the P.S. about your age. Your real age would not be an issue for me but misrepresenting yourself by putting a younger age on top and then fessing up to your real age at the end wouldn't fly with me and because of that, my interest would be gone. I would wonder what else you're not being truthful about. IMO....if someone doesn't want a Dom your age, I don't believe anything in a profile is going to change their mind on age. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your in put. I never thought of it that way. I was trying to be cute and clever. It never dawned on me that it might cause other trust issues. Good point. So much of what we do is based on our trust of each other. Thank you. I usually don't have a knee jerk reaction, but I'm going to change it.

Those hits might be from Dommes that saw your posts in this thread and went to read your profile to see if they had a suggestion. I wouldn't be quick to assume it's your new profile that's only attracting Dommes and not subs. You need to give it a little more time for the people who aren't viewing this forum right now to come across your profile.

I read a study that men on a vanilla dating site (OKcupid) who emailed women 20 years younger than themselves on average received 1 response for every 75 emails they sent. (The bigger the age gap, the lower the response: it was 1 for 25 when men emailed women their own age.) I have no idea what the odds are on a kink site. But it may be that if you are getting 1 response for every 150 to 200 emails you send that may not be "limited" but typical, no matter what your profile says. I don't say that to be harsh but just so you have realistic expectations. You have to throw a lot of darts in the online world to get a response.

I see women often try this tactic on vanilla sites. I only read the women ads, so I have no idea if men do it too.

The reasoning is by lying about their age the women get included in searches they would normally be left out of. Then they hope someone reads their profile and is intrigued enough to overlook their age.

I have no idea whether or not it works, and improves or hurts their odds. I doubt it moves the needle much either way.

Personally, I don't see it as untruthful since they are fessing up immediately why they did it.

Thank you for taking the time and giving me your input.Maybe I shouldn't complain as I'm someplace between the two poles you sighted. Actually closer to the "Own Age" pole.
Since I have made the suggested adjustments that DarkSteven suggested I have had more traffic and amore diverse traffic.People from overseas,trans,dom women,dom men,sub men and thankfully some sub women. Some from all over the country and Canada. So I guess the changes made a difference. Now if I can get a few in my neck of the woods with the elements I'm looking for,next year could be a good year.
This in response to your second comment. That's exactly why I stated my age like that. Just to slip past a filter or two. Mainly because no one that knows or meets me guesses my age,I don't act my age and I relate to younger women ( 40s) pretty well. Also I thought I was doing it with a sense of humor hoping that after the profile was read the joke would be appreciated and all would be forgiven. But then "inhisheart" brought up a point that would be valid to some being that if I "lied" about that ,what else might not be true? Well,I gave that some thought and in this lifestyle trust is so essential I decided to go straight from the get go. I'll see how that works. I mean,for my age (he says with no ego) I'm still pretty good lookin' and I still have some duration and stamina workin' in the bedroom or where ever. With a little luck the Gods of all the "Lifestyles" will smile on me and I'll be writing "Happy Blogs"

I can see both sides of the argument. If you lie about your age, you might tick off some women when they find out. On the other hand, if you don't lie about your age, some of those women will never connect with you because of it, and some of them might have wished they did. I think that's a tough issue that each person needs to decide for themselves, especially if they look much younger than their chronological age. Good luck and happy holidays to you!

We are all entitled to our mate preferences for age, weight, gender, race, etc. As DesFip memorably said, we don't owe anyone an equal opportunity fuck. OP himself has his own age preferences: at almost 70 he is looking for women in their 40s and 50s, some 20-30 years younger than himself.

Those women are as entitled to their age preferences as is the OP. And they are entitled, as is OP, to use screening tools provided by this site to weed out those they've decided don't appeal to them, for whatever reason. If we don't care about age, then we don't set limiting parameters in our search criteria.

I saw OP's profile long before he started posting on the forums. I saw the various (all differing) claims about his age within that profile. And I immediately wrote him off as a liar and as an insecure man, not qualities I look for in a dominant. I've seen that sort of manipulation and lying in men's profiles many times; I'm not saying OP is alone in this behavior. It doesn't surprise me that such men aren't finding success in this site.

Insisting on a woman 20 - 30 years younger is highly unrealistic. So is his insistence on her body type. He doesn't look the way he did 20 years ago but she should.

There's a description of a lifestyle that screams no kids, yet how many 40 and 50 year olds he looks at won't have them? Damn few.

He doesn't offer anything except materialistic stuff. And the chance to be caretaker within 10 years to a guy who may well have had a couple of strokes.

All in all, it's the most selfish profile I've read in a while. But what do I know, at 8 years younger than him, I'm far out of his allowed range.
Go to munches and make friends. Stop insisting your fantasy woman shows up at your door. Because that isn't ever going to happen.
