Their vetting process doesn't seem to be any better than hipshooters, does it.

Sorry, no, didn't chime in at all -- just watching the show with amusement.

But thanks for the knee jerk "Nuh-uh!" regardless of what's posted or what's said -- including nothing about Zimmerman.

I thought it was an attempted vehicular homicide thread. <GRIN>

Actually my motive was not so much about guns as the knee jerk reaction many people have when, regardless of the situation they assume the police had to be wrong.

I once had a course in college entitled "Labor Unions". As you might imagine, the nature of the course was about the American unions. The creation, adaptations, and history. Including case studies on various current (at the time) problems facing unions and management. I went to a liberal college that was very politically conservative (yeah, try to understand that one....). The professor was in the unions for about thirty years, and so I figured this would be quite an interesting class to learn from. Not often in business schools do the students see and hear the perspective of things from the union side.

The professor asks everyone to take a piece of paper out and answer the following question on it: "During a dispute between a Union and the Management; whom do you tend to side with initially?" The papers were passed up to him. Nineteen votes for 'management', one for 'union'. And mine: "It depends on the circumstances, events, history, and actions between the two sides. Both sides could be right or wrong. But making a snap decision based on no actual evidence or information would mean I might be biased towards one or the other. And the side I'm initially biased to, might have one or more really good points."

Like with that class, I approach this topic in a neutral stance. The gathered information does not point to the cops failing in their duty nor being 'in the wrong'. Information is limited. That is why good police work would call for proper investigating of facts. Interviewing any eyewitnesses, observing the scene, looking for past histories of everyone involved and maybe 'gut instincts' to put a proper picture together. The whole thing should go to a trial regardless. Allows a judge and maybe a jury to decide things based on the information gathered.

Some threads had provided much in the way of information to start a discussion. This one seems really absent of information. Or at least the informaiton I've seen so far.

It is only absent information which makes the cops look bad.

Actually my motive was not so much about guns as the knee jerk reaction many people have when, regardless of the situation they assume the police had to be wrong.

what is interesting is your own knee jerk reaction to the situation, and so far nobody has claimed the cops were wrong.
But once again, you are claiming it is OTHER people who are knee jerking the thread
page 1 has NO ONE claiming either the cops were wrong or the girl was innocent,
lets see....page two nobody calling the cops wrong but lots of blaming the chick. and accusing the other girl of lying, but nothing about the cops being wrong.
Apart from the zimmerman honourable mention on page three again nothing against the police, only the dead 17 year old.
NOTHING close to what you are and continue to claim.

Can you read, or are you just chronically stupid, the second and tenth post on the thread was someone posting articles saying the cops were wrong....

Might want to try opening your eyes...and reading the thread instead of making an ass out of yourself by assuming...

Wait Never mind, you being wrong is just as funny.....

I can read, QK, and those second and tenth posts only suggested doubt about the cops' story (as it's emerged so far).

It's OK to question what the police say, occasionally, I feel.

oh so ....giving different links about the same story means that ps is knee jerking.
another addition to the story, another legitimate link .
Not knee jerk, more information from more than one source.
I wish someone had informed polite sub that only one source was needed for a newstory and that that any other links mean that he is knee jerking about it . And siding with a thugs family against the cops. Because they dare to want an autopsy
and im the one that should open my eyes.

Bless your heart

From the article....

A passenger in the car, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of safety concerns, has disputed the official account, saying officers came up on the car from behind and fired four times into the driver's side window.

The passenger also said the officers did not yell any commands before they fired, and that the car struck the officer after Hernandez was shot and lost control of the vehicle.

I might be an american but that says, the cops were wrong and what they are saying is a lie...

Wouldnt that be.... I dont know saying the cops were wrong?

the Other article says

A teen inside the car when Denver police officers shot and killed a 17-year old girl on Monday tells 9Wants to Know her friend was shot before the car ended up striking a Denver police officer.

It's a version of events that falls into direct conflict with what Denver Police Chief Robert White told reporters shortly after the fatal shooting.

That says in plain english theres a conflict... which is another way of saying the police were ....wrong...

So both articles that someone posted... say that the police are wrong, but thats not anyone making a comment saying the police are wrong.... Its so clear now....

No, the citations were put forward to show, by the respective posters concerned, that *there could be doubt*. If you're arguing that suggesting there's doubt about the police's story is the same as saying, categorically, that the police's story is wrong, then I think you're guilty of a knee jerk reaction, there, QK.

The "witness" is clearly saying the cops lied, they shot her before the guy was hit...

So... Tell me ever so smart and intelligent ......Peon... if Wrong means... Deviating from the truth or fact; erroneous..... and Lie means a false statement made with the intent to deceive...

How someone saying the cops lied... isnt them saying the cops are wrong...

Thats all I want to know.

Funny. I remember PPLs posting, almost immediately, about what a racist Zimmerman was (still hasn't been proven). I remember people posting how Wilson had to be a racist (once they found out he was white).

I think it's funny when the left has to fall upon a "rush to judgment" defense (although, it's true that they're intimately familiar with the behavior).

Michael

E.T.A.: I'm pissed off. Bama never cams with me!

Or anyone else. I have lost track of how many times leftist have used the term knee jerk to describe any reaction they do not like.

You mean knee jerk posts, such as the Op that contained the wrong facts ?

The posters are citing those sources, QK. They are not claiming the words in those sources as their own. I think this is the issue that's causing you problems with your outlook, here.

Okay sweetheart... I get it Now...

Polite just posted stories about the cops being wrong, which is someone posting about the cops being wrong... which couldnt possibly be logically thought of that poster holding that belief because no one ever posts links to back up their facts and stories...

Anyone upset about the rehashing of Zimmerman can thank Daddy Satyr who brought the little pudgie racist up in post 28 on the second page.
