Interesting take on Gowdy from a Politico interview

Yeah, Harry Gowdy is one of those effete eastern elite intellectuals Agnew warned us about.

bounty44 -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/13/2015 3:59:05 PM)

I like trey gowdy and hope he gets the cooperation he needs from everyone to do his job, and the force of law behind him to do it when that cooperation isn't forthcoming.

while im here, looks like I can post this again too:

Fox Derangement Syndrome:

"Fox Derangement Syndrome is an idiomatic phrase used to refer to wildly exaggerated overreaction to the news, opinion shows, and very existence of the Fox News Channel. Although the term did not exist at the time, a good example occurred during the December 1, 2003 broadcast of Hardball with Chris Matthews, in which liberal Democrat political commentator Chris Matthews asked liberal Democrat politician Howard Dean, "Would you break up Fox?", to which Dean replied: "On ideological grounds, absolutely yes."

all the other news stations and networks are all left all the time---fox, while on the whole leans right, includes balance in ALL their shows and whats more, has multiple personalities with their own shows, or who are regulars on shows, who are liberal.

it beats the living daylights out of me how anyone who watches any other network, and then fox by comparison, could come to the conclusion they are not balanced in the regard I just pointed out.

the only thing I can imagine is liberals are so immersed in the rest of the media that they think it passes for normal reality, and when they see fox, it jars their status quo.

bounty44 -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/14/2015 4:52:19 AM)

last night megyn Kelly mentioned how they have been asking the state department ever since they (the Kelly file) learned about the document Hillary was supposed to have signed, to confirm/deny process. they have asked 4 times and the state department hasn't been forthcoming. apparently the same things going on with the state department press conferences.

she told the audience they have filed a foia request for confirmation or denial of the document, and even through megyn Kelly has a law degree, they had another lawyer on talking about the process. she (the other lawyer, lis wiehl) mentioned how the state department can take up to 30 days to even acknowledge the request. she said there are 9 criteria by which foia requests can be denied, and having studied all 9 of them before the show, she said she cannot see how any of them could legitimately prevent the state department from divulging the knowledge the foia request is seeking.

the word "stonewalling" was bandied about it a little.

and while im here they mentioned this on the show last night too:

maybe the poll somehow inadvertently oversampled the bitter people clinging to their guns and religion crowd?

Judge Orders State Dept. to Release Records From Clinton Trips

A federal judge on Friday ruled on behalf of Citizens United, a conservative advocacy group, in its lawsuit against the State Department for documents related to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure there.

Judge Gladys Kessler of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ordered the State Department to produce passenger manifests from 47 overseas trips that Mrs. Clinton made as secretary of state. Citizens United requested the manifests last July through a Freedom of Information Act Request.

The State Department, the judge wrote, must release the first batch of records by April 3, with more being released every two weeks; all the documents must be given to the group no later than Aug. 1.

The group requested the flight manifests to examine whether Clinton Foundation donors had accompanied Mrs. Clinton on State Department trips.

“Clearly, the State Department is not getting the benefit of the doubt from judges anymore,” David N. Bossie, president of Citizens United. said Friday.

Her credibility is worse now than ever

bounty44 -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/14/2015 5:09:45 AM)

yes, it will be interesting to watch that unfold.

and since so many millions of dollars were given to the Clinton foundation by foreign governments while she was secretary of state, that's another factor driving the desire to have access to all her emails---not to mention her staffs.

megyn Kelly last night interviewed some fellow from a government watchdog group (I don't recall his name or the group) who said they filed a foia request for records from one of Hillary's staff who moved back and forth between the state department and fund raising responsibilities for the foundation.

Rumors are that she was selling future favors, promising that when she became president that donations to her foundation would buy certain privileges

bounty44 -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/14/2015 5:26:49 AM)

the phrase "follow the money" comes to mind.

so again, it will be interesting to see...

Kind of like when her bitch, Slick Willy, was running for re-election and took a $500,000 donation from the Chinese government. When people questioned that, it was a part of the "vast, right-wing, conspiracy".

Talk about a candidate for the tin foil hat!

People buying into Faux shows that just as Bill O'Really said (and I paraphrase) the common American voter is fucking stupid.

But it is a poll, somewhat of less value than used asswipe.

Polling data from the Chicago Tribune. Seems Dems may be watching closer than Reps but Dems are more sceptical than Reps.

LOL There are times LOL

bounty44 -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/14/2015 10:44:45 AM)

as a spin off from this thread, one of the things that seems to come up frequently in the on air conversations on the topic, is who do the democrats have waiting in the wings if this ends up disqualifying Hillary somehow from a democratic nominee run.

those other candidates would be there otherwise, but theres been so much emphasis on Hillary's coronation so to speak, that no one's been paying a whole lot of attention to other people.

there is joe biden, jim webb, Bernie sanders and despite her saying she isn't interested, Elizabeth warren keeps being mentioned. one particular show I was watching that was talking about this mentioned other potential candidates, but I didn't recognize their names.

KenDckey -> RE: Hillary's E-Mails (3/14/2015 11:13:35 AM)

Wasserman Schultz is out there too But I don't think she will make it. I think she has made to many enemies within the party
