There you go...I ask someone not to wear a gun into my house.....and you read it as I was being an asshole.
Please explain to me why I should care about the opinion of an obvious idiot ?

The only way that I can make any sense of Bama's position is if I assume that Bama feels people with guns have more rights or occupy a superior social position to those without guns. With that assumption operative, his position makes some kind of sense. Without it, his position is ridiculous.

Which is what his stated positions on most gun-related issues is - ridiculous, deserving of ridicule and not much else.

I would have to go back and look at the why Mike stated his position to the that armed guy at his BBQ. I thought Bamas problem was with the way Mike was rude about it.

No one is saying we have more rights than everyone without guns. It's just that we are asserting we have had that right for 200 years and that we still do. Those without any guns can go arm themselves anytime they want. They have the same right.

And the right not to. Or to not allow them in their homes.

Hallucination might be the belief that servicemen would fire on or bomb their own countrymen.

I am pretty sure it was macarthur, eisenhower, patton and the u.s. army that evicted american citizens with rifles and bayonet from peacably assembling to seek redress of their greviences in washington dc.

In the state of Colorado, half of the sheriff departments have publicly stated they won't enforce their stupid recently enacted gun laws. That might tell you something.

It tells me that half the cops in colorado will be looking for a job. When one becomes a cop arent they required to swear an oath to enforce the law? Or are they allowed to selectively enforce laws say like black people walking in the middle of a residential street.

I'm not familiar with what you stated in your first paragraph so you'll have to enlighten me.

If the sheriffs were selectively enforcing discrimination laws you might have a point. And as you well know, sheriffs are elected by individual counties. I highly doubt they'll be out of a job. What obligation do they have to uphold an unconstitutional law ?

The bonus march on Washington in the 20's, he forgot to mention that it is considered one of the great outrages in our history and that it was illegal.

I know you have failed epically at this before but the M1911A1 was DESIGNED for use of the military, not anything else.

So.......tell me something I don't know, and I don't mean some of your typical bullshit. All guns except the shotgun were originally designed for military purposes.

ORIGINAL:

maybe you should. you mean like to intend, for a specific purpose or plan? thats a design feature. something can be two things, like the shit you are spewing, it can be both pathetic and ignorant. and it is.

Pathetic and ignorant would be trying to support your fellow gun control brethren (on a different gun thread) spewing stupid shit like 7 safeties on a 1911 when you of all people should know better. Are you going to name them all over again too ?

Many many guns were not invented for the military. You spout stupid shit like there is not 7 safeties. I will not repeat them, I have done it several times, and you are too fuckin stupid to undertand them. But if you go to church, maybe they will give you a Kahr CW with no safeties but three design features.

Riots are a bunch of hopped up crazy asses looting and burning shit to the ground.

Kinda like the american revolution?

Kent State was a freak of nature.

How was kent state a freak of nature? I am pretty sure it was the army/national guard with rifles and bayonets.

What ?? Ya got a problem with the revolution ? Are you really comparing that to a riot ?

Yep, Kent State was the National Gaurd but how often does that sort of thing happen ?

It should be noted that several guardsmen were in route to the hospital before the first shot was fired.

I see this particular issue being in favor of the homeowner's rights. You can still fully endorse the Second Amendment and not want relatively unknown people bringing guns to your house.

Again we have a victim of lack of research, I said from the first that if someone didn't want me to bring a firearm into their home that I wouldn't. In fact I have repeated that. Once again he didn't ask, or even tell them to remove the gun from his home, he came at him, by his own words, confrontationially. I would have had a problem with that if he was talking about what color shirt I had on.

I'm not familiar with the Kahr CW. You can keep repeating 7 safeties as much as you want but it still doesn't make your statement twue.
I can't remember nor can I find any credible gun publication or expert refering to a particular design feature on any gun, including the 1911 that may make it safer, as a safety. But keep trying, ya might even change the traditional definition if you repeat yourself enough.

The bonus march on Washington in the 20's,

No it was not. How can you hope to discuss or comment something you have no clue about?

he forgot to mention that it is considered one of the great outrages in our history and that it was illegal.

Did you just revoke the bill of rights? Or does the right of peaceful assembly not accrue to those who served in the military?

Again, his house, his prerogative. At any point in time you have a problem with how a homeowner handles any given situation, as a guest on their property, you can leave.

What ?? Ya got a problem with the revolution ?

I have no problem with the revolution.

Are you really comparing that to a riot ?

Yes. Perhaps you may not be familiar with that conflict but the incidence of rape pillage and plunder is pretty well documented. Since the rioters were britt citizens committing acts of aggression against the legally constituted government that pretty much fits the catagory of riot. When a riot/rebellion is unsuccessful the perps are subject sactions. When the riot/rebellion is successful it is called a revolution. You will note that the britt soldiers had no problem firenig on britt citizens at the time.

Yep, Kent State was the National Gaurd but how often does that sort of thing happen ?

Google could help you find out how many times the military has been called out. I remember quite clearly gov. ross barnett making an attempt to stop james meridith from attending ol miss. The president reminded him that this was the united states of america and not the united states of mississippi. With that he nationalized the mississippi national guard and confined them to quarters. He notified the commander of the guard that he was to deliver the keys to the amory to the commander of the 101st batallion. He then sent one batallion of the 101st airborn to memphis where they camped out next to the taxiway where their pinwheels were parked. They put 250 u.s. marshals in the barracks next to mine. Hmm262 was assinged to transport the marshals between memphis and oxford. When the bigots in oxford tried to torch the helicoptors of hmm262 three went to the hospital and one to the morgue....I know this because I was there.

And I would leave rather than argue about it with him. Can't you read, I have said repeatedly that I would accept the wishes of the homeowner. That doesn't mean he didn't handle the situation wrong. I realize that you can't see past guns, but as I said I would still think he was being a jerk regardless of the subject. How hard is that to understand.
I would, if asked or even told that firearms were not allowed in a particular house I would see to it I didn't bring one in. If he came at me like Mike says he did he wouldn't see me again. The guy didn't stay away from his house because he couldn't take his gun in, he did it because when talking about guns Mike apparently thinks that he has no reason to be civil.

Revolvers and breach loading single shot firearms were originally designed for military purposes to obtain military contracts.

What difference does it really make. Breach loaders were developed for the military, repeaters were developed for the military, revolvers were developed for the military. As you say most arms were developed for the military, the fact that they are put into different calibers doesn't change that. And the idea that somehow owning a 1911 is legally different from owning a Thomson center is ridiculous.

Which breach loading single shot pistol with interchangable barrel and reciever groups was designed for the military?
Which bolt action single shot pistol was designed for the military.
Which five shot extreem pressure revolver was designed for the military?
Which 4 shot derringer revolver was designed for the military?
Which magazine fed cordite cartridge .40 cal rifle was designed for the military?
Then there is one of my favorites the automag. Which auto loading pistol with interchangable barrels for different size bullets was designed for the military?

All based on the same original designs. FYI The .44 Automag was kewl when Dirty Hary used it but in reality was unreliable.

cite please. Simply because they are not.

I have never had a failure to function with mine. I have had it more than 30 years and have fired thousands of rounds through it. The issue with the is that they are so phoquing expensive. On the upside they are relatively cheap to reload for.
