Just like those who hope certain criminals get raped in prison this is WRONG!

If we take away a person's right to protect themselves, then it is on society to protect them. That means not putting them in a situation that would cause his death.

I am fine with execution. But it needs to be an execution, not just a "handy death."

Well I live in New Mexico where the Albuquerque Police Dept. otherwise known as APD or Another Person Dead has been written up by the Justice Dept as having serious problems within the dept. Last March they murdered a homeless man with mental issues. In April an 18yr old girl suspected thief was killed and she didn't have a weapon nor was she any sort of threat. The cops lapel cam was conveniently shut off. Not to mention Ferguson, NYC and other places. Cops think they can literally get away with murder. Not all cops for sure. Just a handful of bad seeds. However, they shouldn't be treated any different than anybody else for committing the crime of murder. Hang em high. Send a message that we as citizens won't tolerate this sort of behavior. So I've no compassion for this cop that shot and killed a man in the back while he was trying to flee. That was a chickenshit move on the cops part and he deserves whatever hell that comes his way.

Oh crap, and I thought we could all have a circle jerk and sing Kume-Bye-Ya on this thread. Ferguson not only doesn't rise to the level of this but was justifiable.

I disagree. They are entrusted with authority and power and when they abuse it that should be an enhancement. Just like using a gun in a robbery is an enhancement.

They also shouldn't receive special "consideration" while doing their time.
Putting a cop in gen pop is a bad idea and a practice usually avoided...for the safety of the prisoner.
It's not about special treatment it's about avoiding cruel and unusual ,yanno that thing the Constitution precludes [8|]

I can't bring myself to feel any sympathy for this particular individual who appears to have committed an unprovoked cold blooded murder. He is entitiled to a fair trial and if found guilty should be punished severely.

That said, the State will have the same duty of care to him as it does to any prisoner. That includes not putting him in a position where his life or safety is endangered. It is pretty clear that putting him in with the general population of any prison will put him into danger of severe injury or even death. Distasteful as it may seem to be offering him any special treatment, this must be avoided.

I don't consider it cruel and unusual .. I consider it his just desserts ..... did you notice the guy that was killed had the most ungainly run? a 10 year old could've caught him. But that dumbass decided to shoot and kill him. Hang him high
