I really hope that if I ever post such a truly ignorant post someone calls me an idiot.

Now that it has occurred, we'll see. It won't be me. I do not resort to name calling.

Yes, perhaps you don't name call. Yet, I never said someone couldn't be a polite idiot.

Very true!

Despite your stated hope... I hope that no one calls you that either! :)

The most likely reason for their reticence is that they disliked the result of the Irish vote, which lends itself to suggestions of homophobia. One can see this pattern repeated in threads on hate crime or other threads that are race-related.

What I see repeated is this notion of sharing the approved view as a measure of mental fitness, and failure to do so as diagnostic.

If the irrational hatred of, for example, queers and different race(s) that is a fundamental feature of homophobia or racism, isn't a sign of mental distress, then please tell us what it is. Is it something rational? Is it a sign of a robust healthy mentality? Is it a natural phenomenon? If it isn't any of these things, and you are objecting to the view that it is a "measure of mental fitness", then it is up to you to tell us what it actually is in your view.

Instead, let us not digress. Your post characterized dissent as suggestive of mental illness.

What's next, dunking stools?

K.

The "cute dance steps" seem to be all yours. No attempt to answer the question put to you. No attempt to tell us what your view on the matter is.

IOW nothing to say and nothing to offer except ongoing negativity. Thanks for playing.

Now that it has occurred, we'll see. .

Not the first time either.

In fact Hunter goes one better than posting ignorant posts, he initiates ignorant threads. For instance, he initiated a thread slagging off at post modernists and post modernism when in fact he knows nothing about either (as become crystal clear as the thread progressed).*

Any one with any honesty or integrity would: (a) never have initiated such a thread and (b) when caught, have slunk off utterly humiliated into the nearest dark place never to re-emerge. But not Hunter - his response is to throw completely false abuse at those who exposed his ignorance, his pretensions and his fraud and then to initiate an entirely new pretension - that his humiliation never occurred.

It amazes me that despite such a rank humiliation, he still has the audacity to post here as though nothing had happened. It doesn't take knowledge or brains but it sure takes chutzpah.

I doubt seriously that I need to explain what went wrong here.

Perhaps you all can see fit to actually pay attention to more than politics and bashing one another. Like how the feisty sections will not be post for post attacks on other posters/the other party.

Good day.
