“I cannot imagine the horror that could’ve occurred if people were sitting around with concealed weapons, this thing started and you had a full-scale gunfight,” he told host Ed Schultz. “You might not even have three survivors.”

Imagine what could have happened.

You might have one dead gunman rather than nine dead innocent people.

Probably about the same, I'd think. Who sits in a church, worshipping, with their hand on a gun, watching and waiting for someone else to pull out his own gun and begin shooting?

He made a speech before he started shooting.

You mean, an armed church security guard, rather than an armed congregation.

Bloody hell, though, you really want to go down that road? Armed guards in churches, armed guards in schools?

Jeez: guns breeding like rats, infesting everywhere ... though far more dangerous ....

Ya got a better idea how to stop these random gun murders ? What's wrong with a member of the congregation packin heat ? There are instances where heat packin church members stopped this sort of thing.

Well, people want to be in church to worship, and that takes a special sort of mindset, so I understand. You need to have much more than just a gun, you need to be tuned in and ready to use it. Aren't those two different wavelengths somewhat contradictory?

You're making too much more out of it than there is. If a church member can bring his weapon out within about 1 to 3 seconds, the armed individual or better yet individuals are participating in church and shit happens, he or she will know it. They will also have the advantage of surprise as an attacker won't know who out of a number of people might return lethal force.

The nra campaign to mainstream carrying weapons in public is disturbing as it is ridiculous.

The nra types imagine everything falls their way when more guns are added. They don`t. It`s the good guy with a gun that accidentally kills his daughter who learns that the hard way.

Fairytales of how " good guy w/ a gun" might have saved the day.

Maybe.........maybe not.

The coward nra types won`t tell you that a gun in the house is more likely to be used against a family member either by accident or during a fight.

Or of the mounting stories of kids shooting kids with guns they find. Or of the "good guy with a gun" who kills an innocent.

Just that guns are the answer to every gun problem.

The nra is covertly trying to mainstream what most people don`t want. It won`t work and will only make the nra types seem craven and callous, especially after blaming one of the victim.

For Christ sake the pastor wasn`t even buried yet.

Most Americans don`t want to go to church with AK-47s everywhere. It`s their right to have it so. I`ve no doubt that there is a gun nut church somewhere for who want that.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There`s been a bit of a scuffle with these "open carry" morons lately, who get a rise out of going into stores/malls and restaurants armed with semi-auto pistols and rifles.
If you haven`t been watching,you wouldn`t know that one store/restaurant chain after another has gone though having to specifically ban guns from their properties because of the provocative and pretty fucking scary shit they do.
Go on you tube and search "open carry" or "open carry Texas" and see the reaction of normal folks, when eight gunmen walk in.
That`s part of their fun......as well as arguing/ranting about their 2nd Amendment rights yada yada....
1st comes the assault ,walking in with M16s over their shoulders and then phony outrage when they`re asked to leave the guns in the car.
Then comes the threats of  boycott these adult babies.<squeak>
Eventually corporate is forced to make a decision and for the most part, the gunuters lose.Then their web site declares war against the store yada yada....No one important gives a fuck.
The folks at corporate who manage national chains don`t want these pretend soldiers causing problems. They give zero fucks about "open carry" types.
And they don`t need the few bucks they`ll lose either.
They are more worried about the money they`ll won`t earn b/c mommy and the children don`t want to shop with armed nutters in their aisle.
Economic democracy at it finest .
Someday conservatives will learn that freedom cuts both ways.
It's nice to have specific targets to hate isn't it. Especially when your politcal philosophy covers for you and redefines that hate as "intolerance against hate". Then you can really sleep soundly at night knowing all your lefty friends approve of your "intolerance".
Ya, if only Hillary would recognize she is sitting on Ill gotten gain from selling the US and return that. But, for some reason that okay and then when someone on the right finds out where ill gotten gain comes from and returns it, that's evil. What a twisted mind.
In addition to being pro Second Amendment, I'm also very conservative, pro life, anti big spending out of control government and anti police state. I don't care much for NY or CA politics.
How else may I piss you off today ? 😎
