Im sorry...a gay male is attracted to males yes?
Why would a gay male wish to go into ladies washrooms to wiggle his dick around in?

Because, I have been told by one who claims to have been a teen age boy once upon a time, that that is what they think about. That this boy is just fakin' it so he can look at women in their underware.

And that's her journey. Why get in the way of a self-realization that is already hard enough on somebody?

Watch out...this is where you may get the lecture about how adversity and hardship molds strong character.

An interesting question that no one but Lila knows the answer to. However it does seem that one of the possible answers is that he's not gay or transsexual.

Or is it completely incomprehensible to you that a 17 year old boy might claim to be something he isn't to see naked teenage girls?

Because perhaps - just perhaps - Lila is in fact just a regular, straight, teenage boy who's found himself a way to get into the girls locker room?

Beyond that, this is a journey for EVERYONE in that locker room, not just Lila. Why should we make it harder on everyone else just to make an individual's life easier. Why do Lila's rights trump the rights of a couple dozen girls in that locker room? Does one person's needs and desires outweigh everyone else's?

That really seems completely impossible to you, doesn't it? You must never have been a teenage boy.

Isn't that kind of an extreme way to go about it? I mean, sure, a 17-year-old boy might claim to be the King of England if he thought he could see naked teenage girls, but this seems to be going a bit too far if it's all some sort of ruse.

Common' we all know lots of guys who will tell their friends that they are wearing a dress and flirting with boys just to look at girls in their underware.

Hmm. I went to a boys' school. I should think that there were quite a lot of boys who pretended to be heterosexual there, including in the changing rooms - where they might have experienced the occasional stiffy. But why would I have cared then and why should I care now? It's not as if anyone was harmed by it.

What my question is to you, why is the opposite not possible?

To adults? Yeah. It's extreme.

But to a 17 year old? This is a kid. A kid who's not just trying to figure out her sexuality, but probably also still trying to sort out other social boundaries. We used to call this sort of behavior "immaturity" back before people convinced themselves that children are really just small adults that already have the world and themselves all figured out. Teenagers do all sorts of stupid things... being young and idealistic, or mischievous, or all full of yourself, or thinking you're immortal... before they discover that sometimes behaviors have consequences. It's part of the joy and horror of being a teenager.

Its also why our laws are written in such a way that it doesn't consider people adults until they're 18.

It's also possible that if it is a ruse, Lila might not know how to put an end to it. After all, this has turned into a national news story. What do you think would happen if he gets on TV tomorrow and reveals that Lila is just a character he made up to make some sort of political statement? There would be death threats.

And remember - this hasn't even been going on for a year yet. Really, it's only been a couple weeks since school has been back in session.

At 17, even if she really believes what she claims, and it's not a ruse, six months from now, Lila may decide she isn't actually a girl after all. She might even decide she's not even gay.

Oh. The opposite is entirely possible. It may well be that Lila is everything she claims she is.

I just think we need to be a bit cautious about accepting her word on it. Especially given her immaturity, and the short period of time she's been asserting her sexual identity.

And we need to be considerate of the girls in the changing room that have a right to be uncomfortable changing in front of someone who is still physically male.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're sure Lila is a girl trapped in a boy's body... and you're positive she's got her sexuality all sorted out and that I'm wrong to wonder if she's actually a boy playing a prank that's spiraling out of control.

You are wrong. I never said or implied any of that. That is your fantasy that you have concocted from the things you have read.

Oh good. Then you agree with me.

Or... rather than just saying that I have misunderstood you, you can explain HOW I've misunderstood you.
