Wrong again. Neither eisenhower (who first ok the invasion)nor kennedy  ever promised air support. Both presidents expressly forbade the use of amerikan air support. Richard bissel was the only one who promised air support. Since it was bissel's baby everyone believed the lying sack of shit. Hawkins (who planned the inchon invasion for macarthur) the planner of the cuba invasion, told him from the git that it would not work without air support.

Sorry, this thread got buried a bit and I didn't see your reply. It was a superficial wound for the officer. Never saw details on the suspect.

That doesn't make any sense. Securing national defense isn't comparable to shooting a cop in the back.

Bay of pigs was to secure our national defense??????? Most of the known world saw it as an attempt by the u.s. govt. to overthrow the government of a soverign nation by sending a group of armed thugs to murder castro.

You have to keep in mind that Castro hated America (he will now make a silly post claiming Castro loved "Amerika" [he even spells it like a communist] and anyone who hates America can't be all bad.

He wasn't real happy with us raping his country thru corporate imperialism, no. But the invasion, and then the attempts and assassination sort of gave him a good case of the ass at us, sure.

Sherrif's deputy Steven Martin Sandberg was killed yesterday by a domestic disturbance suspect who grabed the deputy's firearm and shot him.
The "suspect" was shot by security people, with a taser, they were not able to revive him.
