I take it you mean little kids
quote:

"schoool shootings"
...

Little kids and teachers have no choice but to hide under their desks because there is no one there to protect them. No I was not, and have neber seen anyone suggest that little kids should be packing.

I didnt claim you did.
I just asked you to clarify that you meant lil kids schools only, not all education facilities.

Duh of course I meant all schools, is there a reason high school kids don't deserve protection?

what about higher education?

Yes higher education too.
Same situation just bigger targets unless someone is able to fight back, what is your point. Students deserve protection, the politicians who say they shouldn't be protected have protection don't they? If it is good enough for students why isn't it good enough for politicians?

People look at mass shootings and say that is a reason to get rid of guns.

No. They say that is a reason to better regulate them.

If you're going to insist on opposing phantom positions, no real discussion is possible.

Unless you are Feinstein who wants tougher legislation because there would not be enough votes in favor of outright confiscation.

Every time I hear rabid calls for more firearm legislation and claims "no one is out to take your guns" included in the rant; I'm reminded of how Income Tax was a "temporary" measure to pay off the debt from the Spanish American War.

And since they only want to ban some guns, right now, only a parinoid knuckle dragger would oppose it.

More silliness instead of logic. That's why it's hard to see any reason in your rants.

Tip: if you want to mock others' intelligence, spell paranoid correctly. You'll have more credibility.

Do they or do you not favor the guns that look like assualt weapons ban?
And, of course, a typo discredits my whole position.

More making up positions for me.

Look up fantasy, and compare it to the definition for reality.

If you want to start a thread specifically about one kind of weapons ban, do so. Masturbate over it with your buddies.

Side issue after side issue after side issue...never a solution for the problem at hand.

So did you favor the "assualt weapons" ban, which didn't address any assualt weapon.

Because I typed too fast for you the first time . . .

I didn't think you would answer.

You asked, I answered.

YOu have questioned many aspects of the types and calibers of weapons I own, so may I ask you a question?

Are you familiar with the Russian or European boar?

I am familiar with the American bore. [;)]

blnymph -> RE: America’s Gun Madness, as Seen From Europe (10/12/2015 5:21:24 PM)

European boars are rather common in various parts of Europe

maybe one of the reasons why they are called European boars

That would follow.

If you should ever happen to find the time, I'd like to hear more about these. What are your personal experiences with them? Do they get to be about the same size as they do here?

THAT'S your answer.

I don't attend every argument for which I get an invitation.

It's not a side issue. Semi auto bans are a major part of the UK / Australian gun control models. You seem to be on he gun grab side of the equation. If you don't want people misinterpreting your misguided position then spell it out.......and don't type so fast while you're circle jerking with your gun control buddies[8D]

He always talks in circles and claims to be taking a stand when using generalities.

So you keep saying, thread after thread, year after year, even after repeated corrections.

Maybe one day you'll learn just saying things doesn't make them so.

I didn't really say one way or the other but since you're so critical of the pro gun folks here, it SEEMs to me you're on the antigun side. So either correct me, spell out your position or get off the jerk off fence (pun intended). Consider it a question if you want.

size doesn't matter...[:D]

blnymph -> RE: America’s Gun Madness, as Seen From Europe (10/13/2015 8:14:49 AM)

this is a bit odd - the thread says "... as seen from Europe" but is full of American posters and posts who desperately state again and again that they do not care a bit about any European or other point of view but post it on a quasi "European" thread

as a single European I can say - I do not care about your gun policy as long as you stay where you are and leave your toys where they are

the only thing I d want to emphasize - our schools are gun-free, our roads are gun-free, even our banks are usually gun-free, our shops are gun-free, our universities are gun-free, and for me it sounds better than all the praises about how useful, important and whatever else your favourite toys may be

Yeah, and not only that but an American poster started the thread.

kdsub -> RE: America’s Gun Madness, as Seen From Europe (10/13/2015 8:53:13 AM)

Talking to the choir again... I agree with your disdain for this American obsession. But as far as Americans commenting on this thread what is any discussion without input from both sides. Otherwise what is the use of the thread? The two sides here are the American madness and the European reaction to it... I am commenting on the madness, as an American, and the European reaction to it and what I think of it.

Perhaps if the OP wanted only European input they should have stated that... as if that would work.

Butch

The OP lives in Maryland. This was never intended to be just for Europeans,
Further the intent is to trash Americans. Start a thread about a Europen issue and the silence from Americans will be deafening.
