Bama, I don't live all that far away from the scene. Local media was all over it. I didn't need to watch the watered down national news.

I have a leo friend, and he quit after the news reported on an event he was involved in. One time was enough. Not only the justice system should be cleaned up but also shaping news reports to skew the truth.

The news does tend to play out like a soap opera.

And when local stations believe they have dirt on somebody, they don't stop going after them.

But they gotta fill the airtime with something for several hours a day.

So then nobody should try to defend themselves. And now, tell all these cops and cities to just drop their neighborhood watch programs and let ant thug go through your backyard and pick up whatever they want.

Try Australia for that, people there are even more liberal and hoplophobic. Should be great for you, but I will never set foot there.

27 Americans were shot and killed on Christmas day, and 63 injured. (not included are the suicides.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/12/28/guns-killed-more-people-on-christmas-in-the-u-s-than-in-an-entire-year-in-these-countries/
In a grim reminder that violence in America never takes a holiday, 27 people were killed and 63 injured in shooting incidents on Christmas Day this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. This tally does not include people who shot themselves in suicide.

The number of Americans killed in gun homicides on Christmas Day is comparable to the number of people killed in gun homicides in an entire year in places like Australia or Britain. The 27 people killed by guns in America on Christmas this year is equal to the total number of people killed in gun homicides in an entire year in Austria, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, Estonia, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Iceland, combined.

I don't think Zimmerman made the decision to use his gun until he felt his life was in danger. I do believe that he was responsible for the events leading up to that point though.

Then he didn't use force or evenintend to use force untill he was attacked, this is self defense.

It was a local NBC affiliate that provided the corrupted version of the 911 call.

The only person that said that it was Martin that did the attacking was Zimmerman. The facts and evidence at the crime scene didn't match the story that the lying Zimmerman told. The actual evidence shows that Zimmerman tried to detain Martin and that Martin fought back, and when he fought back and was winning, the coward lying Zimmerman pulled his gun and shot Martin.

So you ignore the fact that at the same time Zimmerman said he had lost Martin, Martin was telling his girlfriend the same thing. You ignore that after that the only way there could be a confrotation was for Martin to come back.
Zimmerman knew the police were on the way, so he wouldn't have initiated violence. You also ignore the fact that Zimmerman didn't leave the sidewalk till Martin knocked him down.
Martin commited suicide by stupid.

Thats not the only way for a confrontation. But if you are stalking me, I am definitely going to confront you. I will just know enough to start shooting right away.

Warner Robins man shoots, kills alleged robber

9:28 p.m. EST December 26, 2015

A Warner Robins man told police that he shot and killed a man who tried to rob him.

According to police, it happened around 8:10 p.m. on Christmas night on the 100 block of Oakridge Drive.

Police say Antonio Bagley, 29, told them Jerrell Walker tried to rob him so he fired his pistol at him. Walker later died from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Bagley has not been charged, and the case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information on the case can call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

Yet you disconnect from the need Treyvon apparently felt to defend himself. Because having someone follow you around at night is normal?

And you would hide then jump out an attack someone that you thought was following you?... Is that normal to you?

They were both aggressive assholes and neither was an innocent.

At the time of the confrontation Zimmerman was heading back to hiws truck, and he wasn't stalking. Why do you people insist on using arguments that were dissproven years ago, Zimmerman was innocent, live with it.

Niether did the perfect thing but Martin made the biggest and fatal mistake.

The prosecution virtually proved there was no case against him.
You say there is no proof as to what happened so that means. in your mind that the story that puts Zimmerman in the worst light must be true.
Most of what you believe is pure fantasy.
What would you do if you saw someone sneaking around in your neighbors yard, hide in the basement?

True.

But it seems reasonable to expect a bit more maturity from a 29-year-old Neighborhood Watch captain than from a 17-year-old who seems to have had some troubles.
