I am one of those people who know there is no law you have to pay income tax. the process whereby you do this and don't get in hot water is another story and quite frankly I would rather not share it openly. The guy who did it and gave me the information wanted to share it, I told him he should not do that because if too many people do it they will fix it so you can't do it anymore.
But I would say that unearned income is a different thing. When you make money off the stock market nowadays, that is tax money. It comes to Wall St. in the form of quantitative easing. Even without that, money made for nothing probably should be taxable. Same with monies made from licensing of patents or copyrights.
Even you cannot be this dense. The unearned income was the profits the slavers made on slave labor.
In these cases, you are using the infrastructure to make money and therefore you should be supporting that infrastructure. This is fine with me. But to tax your actual labor that you perform, no.
So to tax unearned income to support a sort of safety net, well that is not so bad. It is the earned income with which I have issue.

Actually, there is a country somewhere offering immigrants money to leave, this is not that different. I forgot which one but I am pretty sure they wanted to get rid of Muslims or Arabs. I could have told them to keep their borders shut.
And BTW, I still want to know how the fuck the civil war could be over slavery when it started years before the emancipation proclamation. But that is a hijack for another time.
