I was involved with a man 8 years younger than me (I'm 38) whom I kicked to the kerb when he confessed that he was taking nandrolone just for "feelgood factor" Testicles like berries and buying viagra.

Mortality rates for eating disorders run between 4 and 5 percent. So him being incompetent at his job carries a 1 in 20 risk of her death.
I don't know about the rest of you, but we don't engage in kinks with that high a risk.

25% of the female population has PCOS, an endocrine system disease and one of the symptoms is being overweight. He's not qualified to diagnose those women and determine what their regime should be. Some one just like this guy, almost killed me before I was diagnosed.

Not to mention the ton of other endocrine problems like thyroid (roughly another 25% of mainly females) or simple vitamin D deficiency that makes it hard to shift weight

What about disabling an otherwise healthy, smart, qualified (because women with eating disorders tend to be of an overachieiving nature) woman for the best, most economically active years of her life? What's the price on that? Morbidity is a far bigger problem than mortality, and a much harder one for most people to compute.

Hahahaha in my wet dreams I do, when I was 105 H told me to eat some food as he doesn't like splinters or getting bruised on hip bones and seeing my ribs turned him off. My size 0 career was remarkably short lived and all my friends went "Oh you don't look sick anymore and you're not so grumpy and miserable"

The fitting into size 0 jeans felt great, however looking into a mirror and my face looking gaunt and drawn felt awful, plus I lost quite a bit of healthy muscle mass, not going there ever again

But that's because the eating disorders don't kill you in most cases, the damage you do with them however can shorten your life considerably. A lot of self harmers don't die from the cutting they do, as in loss of blood and all that, however the body fighting the infections and injuries take a massive toll on their system, the damage people do to themselves with weight bouncing up and down... This whole BS of you have to be a certain weight or size is just that, nobody who ever asked me out on a date ever asked me my weight or my size, maybe the reason why I went on dates with them. Who needs somebody who makes a puddle look deep? If you need an armpiece with model measurements to show off, you best look like one yourself and have charms, or a big bank account, or you could simply work on your own self-esteem and that you can be somebody without a trophy woman on your arm...

I worked with a bunch of people who were self-harmers and most of them also have eating disorders. it's a bit like having one auto-immune problem, it seems to breed others.

You said a mouthful there. Roid rage is just an inch away from insane. Understanding that it's not really the person but the crap they are pumping into their body only goes so far. You must be a lot more patient than I am.

Status: offline 		During my college years I waitressed a lot, some of the bouncers were on roids, one incident of roid rage and they were usually out, as no club owner would want that risk or the liability.

A few years ago I dealt with it at close quarters after a friend had an organ transplant and had to take them, due to immune system issues, it was freaking hell, we were joking about it the other day and he said it never affected him much, I went "Yeah, it only cost me about 10 years worth of nerves!" The worst bit was when the dose was reduced, first every 4 weeks then every 2 weeks, 2 days into the reduced dose I knew just me breathing could set him off. Anybody putting that shit into their system for non-medical reasons deserves a padded room.

I happen to be a very firm believer in the fact that we've done a crap job for a very long time attempting to imprint on people what they are supposed to look like. I'm not saying anything against people wanting to do their best at their goals to keep themselves healthy. Unfortunately, we spent so much time telling women that they had to be pencil thin and men that they had to be buff through various marketing and advertising methods, that we've just plain messed up a lot of people.

Being overweight at an unhealthy level is not good. Check. I got it. Easy to measure because we know what the physical symptoms are. However, a person is not just their physical selves. We can't measure the emotional/psychological damage that's related to these issues because it's not as easy as pulling out a tape measure.

M and I were talking about that just the other day. I was watching "Working Girl" and there's a scene where Alec Baldwin is laying in bed and Melanie Griffith is putting on stockings and garters.......and according to today's standards - neither would have been considered sexy or attractive.
