ORIGINAL: thompsonx Sure, we can stop talking about your inability to do the things you insisted you could do. We can discuss it there. This thread is about how arizona let guns walk to mexico. Incorrect. California, Texas, and Arizona FFLs (among others) were forced, by the ATF, to allow people to purchase guns. Good try in blaming Arizona while conveniently ignoring California, though. He A. Igonres that he brought the subject into the thread. and B. That ATF forced dealers to allow the guns to walk even though the dealers reported the problem to them. C. That Fast and Furious came on the heals of claims by Hillary that gun crime in Mexico were because of American gun laws, based of course on a study that was flawed. D. Said study said that of the FIREARMS CHECKED FOR POINT OF ORIGIN the vast majority came from the US. All this means that of the firearms of unkown origin from outside Mexico came from the US. E. Several Congressmen had laws prepared for when the government tracked the guns they allowed to walk. F. The plan was screwed up when 1. Whistleblowers blew the lid off and 2. At least one of the dealers taped ATF insisting on him selling the guns even though it was clearly illegal. You left out that government caused all the tracking markings on some guns to be filed off. So you're left with the very real question - why would the government forse gun shops to let untraceable guns into the hands of cartels. The other thing you left off was that when this story first broke, the Obama administration attempted to pin the blame on one of the big gun dealerships. Until he whipped out the papperwork where he had forced the agent in charge to sign, date and notarize the order by the administration. Because that one smart cookie, when faced with a prosecution that would have resulted in the confiscation of his business and jail time, forced the administration to put an illegal order into writing. Funny how liberals leave that part of the story out, eh...
