Personally I don't consider this Power... anyone is capable and does cause another to suffer or feel pain.  Sometimes we do this consciously with intent other times we do not.  However, the real power of Sadism is causing someone to "Want" to Suffer for your Pleasure.  Maschocist want to suffer... but they don't want to suffer for just anyone.

mmmmmmm and here I thought is was a summarization of your thoughts of Domination and Sadism and an example.

Maybe next time you will state  "an example of"  instead of  "summed up".  That the book was a book about "Dystopia" is irrelevant.  The gor books are about a fantasy world... but still many use it as a framework for their lifestyle.

Actually you stated your "My Feelings on Domination and Sadism"

"My Feelings" are a personal inference.... so in fact you infer a personal opinion on Domination and Sadism that relates to you personally.

Status: offline 		forgive me if i get back to what Stanton said, this subject keeps broadening for me:  i have known both Sadistic and NonSadistic Masters who could lay on stripes, and the former were cooler and more methodical mostly.  what sets the Sadistic Master apart seems to be an equal and opposite hunger, that complements mine.  the need in Them is very compelling.
 
however, Loving Sadist creates a new wrinkle:  on one hand He feels the hunger more deeply, knowing that i need Him to hurt me, and expresses His love for me in more extremes of His own need.  on the other hand it is perhaps harder for Him to indulge.
 
it really is concern for Himself that tempers expression, because Sadism and Honor battle in Him all the time.  for me He bears a weight of concern that i think divides Him when i am priviledged to be most centered.  i give up shame and offer my dark desires to Him, which is very freeing.
 
the balance is so delicate.
