I generally view militant Atheists as closet Christians. A true Atheist wouldn't be angry with Christians as why would they be? Group of people believing in a fairytale book, doesn't affect them in any way. It always feel like, they got some personal anger towards a God that they believe exist but angry with him about something. Some Militant Atheist get very agitated when Christians tell them they are going to hell. And they use this as a reason for them to want to shut down Christians. But it's like, hell don't exist. They tell you are going to some imaginary place? It's like, whatever. Again, if you know there is no hell, there is nothing to get upset about. Unless they believe hell actually exists and are actually worried.

Perhaps neither is correct. But who's to say that the former is clearly superior to the latter, which should be ridiculed and taunted? Personally, I'd bet good money against the Copenhagen Interpretation, but it would be absurd if I couldn't be friends with those believing its ontology and unite with them in the quest to make our planet a better place. Only good people who contributes to our economy and our society are welcome. There is no way to vet if those refugees are gonna be contributors or people plotting terrorism. Like if they come here, they are only welcome if they are interested in making positive contributions. I have always had a HUGE emphasis on positive things. Muslims celebrating their hari raya publicly for example, is a peaceful event and a positive event and something that brings joy and not hate. So that's allowed.

It's hardly a matter of atheists knocking on my door. It's the God-haters (that self-identify as "Atheist") that complain to the owner of a restaurant where I *dared* to pray (silently) over my food because, apparently, my blessing myself made them "uncomfortable". It's the same type of person (God-hater) that runs around, saying that our government cannot support any religion that causes Georgetown University to cover the IHS behind the podium when dumbo ears goes there to speak but allows over one-hundred references to "allah" in the backdrop, when that same failure-in-chief speaks at a mosque. It's the asshole God-haters that claim that religious tenets of my faith should be kept to myself while they run around, puking ignorant bullshit about a "spaghetti monster" or an "invisible sky wizard". What's the issue here? Well, "God bless you" was never intended to offend anyone by mocking their beliefs. I'll let you figure out the rest. There is no doubt in my mind that there are atheists that truly just don't believe in a higher power. They go on about their business. They may even shake their head (in their own mind) at any reference to God, but, for the most part, they are non-intrusive into the lives of others. Healthy Christians show tolerance for others belief systems. It is their right to believe as they see fit. Telling someone they are going to hell helps nothing, it's a threat, it does not create a bridge. The USA is a Christian nation, unless you know the simple folk, you can not judge by what you see on media. There are a lot of quiet peaceful Christians. But don't be mistaken we are still a Christian nation.

I dont have a problem with god, its his "followers" that are the problem, specifically the ones forcing their religious views into laws for everyone. Which incidentally includes ALLL organised religions. Christians are great, some of them, the founding fathers, made freedom of religion a priority.
