You'd be surprised how often that works. Everybody's intimidated by German technology (that's been true since WW2), and nobody really knows what 'fluted' means. I certainly don't, anyway.

I think it has to do with band camp or something...

I drank a flute of champagne once, must have been the bubbles that fluted it.

This pretty much sums up liberal gun logic

No it does nothing but sum up your ignorant unsubtantiated opinion.

Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knife
Comes around the corner,
Locks eyes with you,
Screams obscenities,
Raises the knife, and charges at you…

You are carrying a
Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?

Liberal’s Answer:

Well, that’s not enough information to answer the question!
What is a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP?
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
 Could we run away?
 What does my wife think?
 What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he’d be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
 Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint & weed day.
Can we make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
 This is all so confusing

Thompsonx's Answer:

I'll blow his toe off to stop him dead in his tracks.....BANG BANG.....I PHOQUING MISS.... UHGCH (the noise you make getting run through with a big knife)

Not true...my answer is to shoot the fool (only fools bring a knife to a gun fight) in the foot. Punk him for his knife, shoes and lunch money. Duct tape over a fire plug and lift his skirt. Leave a coffee can and a large sign saying "will phoque for pocket change".

Conservative’s Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG ! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Click….. (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!BANG!BANG!
Click

Twelve rounds out of a 15 round mag????
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

And another good article twice in one week! I'm shocked.

I especially love the conclusion of this one:

http://nypost.com/2016/04/23/liberals-embrace-the-smug-life/

The Vox essayist concludes that progressives are afflicted by a “failure of empathy” (!) and should actually do something to help the working- and middle-class people whose interests they claim to represent, but if he went all the way down the same path, he would understand the core reason for liberal smugness: Ridiculing opponents is easier than arguing with them. Liberals don’t want debate, they want affirmation.

No. It was all the time your post deserved.

I mean seriously - an essayist writes a few column inches, draws a few inferences and parallels, gives examples - and your reply is - (paraphrase) "ug not good article."

I'm a democrat. I don't have to discuss, elaborate, support. I expect you to agree simply because I said it. Or, in the words of the article - I expect affirmation.

That's because it wasn't a good article, and I explained why. It is to simplistic and generalizes a huge group of people on the basis of the authors biases.

Really? I am surprised, I was sure you were a Republican.

Congrats. Wrong again. For the record, I was not claiming to be a democrat either. (Cant' stand democrats more than I can't stand republicans.) I was paraphrasing your attitude and the article.
