Oxford approves transgender bathroom ordinance with threat of $500 fine, 6 months in jail

Jesus Christ. Can you imagine it? As a TG you're terrified of going into one bar-toilet, lest you get beaten up by the neanderthals. But go in the other, and you could end up in jail.

How much worse do they want to make the lives of these poor sods, before they'll be satisfied?

How do you make it worse by recodifiyng what was already the law?

"Keep Our State Straight" would be perfect for license plates.

And it would solve the NC/Ohio clash over who gets credit for the Wright brothers.

You know, when I was little my Dad used to take me to the pool, and he would take me into the men's change room with him where I would change along with a whole bunch of men of all ages. I never once felt distressed or harmed by seeing dicks, it never harmed me or scared me. Want to know why? Because the sight of a penis is NOT traumatic.

I'd planned to stay out of the Bathroom Wars, but this made me chuckle.

So are you saying we should set up our laws to coddle the weakest, most barely sane people?

That's ridiculous. My father is a psychiatrist and he treats people that are afraid of the dark. Should all cities light every part to cater to their fears?

Don't be silly.

kdsub -> RE: Keep Our State Straight. GOP AG. (4/28/2016 6:08:24 PM)

Missouri has lots of pristine rock bottomed rivers. One of the joys of living here is a float trip with a case of cold beer and or a few bottles of your favorite wine to go along with a white sand BBQ. A good friend of mine was on such a float trip and on weekends the good beaches can be crowded. After I few cold beers he walked to the far edge of the sandbar in some brush and was going to take a pee. He had is cock out when an 8 year old girl came out of the woods...saw him and took off screaming to her mommy. When he got to the take out point he was met by the local police. After it was all said and done he was fined... put on 2 years probation... and his name is now on the Sex offender list and all the crap that goes with it.

So the moral... Don't ever take out your cock in Missouri.

Butch

Are you saying they should save money by getting rid of street lights, after all they are only there because people don't feel safe on dark streets.

That is one of the dumbest post rationales I have ever heard.
Barely sane?
Coddle?
your father only deals with people who have a phobia of the dark??
Such profound ignorance shouldnt be a surprise, but it still sticks in the craw.

BY the way to whoever it was said the right to privacy ...Trans folk have that right too.
PS I can think of a 101 places where they are breaking that particular fallacy.(open wound)
Just like the opinion that trans people molest kids
Its more likely to be a family member or someone you know, than a stranger.
And putting trans people down because they get abused, arrested, beaten, killed is not anyway equal to being afraid of the fucking dark.

I for one, have not said that it endangers anyone from the "trans menace", however it does provide cover for predators, laying it on trans.

Trans have the right to privacy, however many places, Target and Walmart for example, have "family" restrooms which do not restrict use by gender and allows for the doors to be locked. These would protect the Trans from hostility from both males and females. And yet Target has decieded to expose everyone to situations that make them uncomfortable. And your argument still says that the rights of one Trans outweighs the rights of 1000 women. We still have everyone is equal but trans are more equal than others.

mnottertail -> RE: Keep Our State Straight. GOP AG. (4/28/2016 7:23:05 PM)

where are these thousands of women? You dont think trans have used womens bathrooms many many times? How many of these 'predators' have used this ruse to date in the US to rape women in those bathrooms? You think a piece of paper will stop the (nonexistant) predators from going in that bathroom? Ain't that like posting a sign "Penis Free Zone"?

I didnt say you did, I quoted the other bloke.
Yes and you have been able to find predators everywhere before now. without haunting bathrooms and destroying a trans " right to privacy".

And one of then ways we did that was by banning biological males from womens bathrooms.
This is nothing new, it is just because trans are demanding that the be given special consideration. How can you say that we have to let trans into womens locker rooms without opening them to all males, isn't that discimination against all non trans?

Lucylastic -> RE: Keep Our State Straight. GOP AG. (4/28/2016 7:36:04 PM)

Congratulations. Your assertion above has set a new standard (or if you prefer and possibly more accurately) a new depth of ignorance, cretinism and prejudice for these boards.

Is it possible for anyone to say anything stupider and retain the ability to function, even at the minimal level displayed by the poster of the above?

Your diatribe is so ironic
What time is your next declaration of truth, so I can be ready for it.
Thank you for making my day...

No, I pointed out the hypocrisy of the left pitching this as a moral issue. Once again, it appears those wedded to the victim-hood narrative will do anything and everything to avoid science, evidence or reason.

Again - and I repeat this because you're hideously, appallingly slow and unable to think for yourselves - the opposing view on the transgender issue proceeds from a fundamentally different worldview and axioms. If you're unable to understand that, then you're simply unqualified to engage in debate because you lack the intellectual capability necessary to do so.

its so easy just to label "victimhood":)
Im so happy to be everything you despise:)
It would give me warm fuzzies if I cared to think about it.

You know, my first thought when StrongSpirit said that was roughly similar to yours: that he was talking about transgenders. Then I thought he could be referring to the mental delicacy of those who car't bear to imagine the wedding tackle of a member of the opposite sex in their usual restroom.
