no cruz is not thinking of getting back in.

it was a sort of teasing joke that glenn beck started and that cruz responded to accordingly.

for people to put forth the idea that this was/is serious is to either miss that point, or for people to be looking for reasons to criticize those who are un-liked anyways (republicans in general and cruz in particular) no matter what they do.

Given the immensity of bull that this election period has trolled through, and given that the information was given out in several news items(not blogs) EVEN WND and WaTimes and the Hill
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ted-cruz-leaves-the-door-open-to-jumping-back-into-2016-race/

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/10/ted-cruz-doesnt-rule-out-getting-back-2016-race/
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-primaries/279354-cruz-floats-restarting-campaign-if-he-wins-nebraska

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/may/10/ted-cruz-refuses-support-donald-trump-campaign-election-2016
Oh and WND even said it.
http://www.wnd.com/2016/05/cruz-flirts-with-jumping-back-into-gop-race/

Read between the lines.

Truz is 'flirting'

a). Something happens to trump, keeps his name in the headlines.
b). Keeps his delegates in line, excited and voting for him.
c). Gives him leverage at the commission
d). Cruz's ability to press for the vp spot is never stronger than it is right now. Make a deal, have his delegates vote for trump lets the donald run against hilary.

Not going to happen, cruz isn't good for the ticket so much - but its playing the game.

Yeah, that's more or less my take on it as well, though it would be fun to watch Trump try to find a way to walk back the whole lying Ted thing.
