ORIGINAL: WhoreMods Hell, we've had a few alleged Christians insisting that somebody is unsuitable for elected office because he doesn't share their religion earlier in this thread, haven't we? Well, I haven't posted to this thread, but I'd like to address this. I'm a Christian who has never said (or, even thought, for that matter) that someone is not suitable for office because they don't share my religious bent. I have said that someone else is more suitable for office because I admire their (espoused) religious views. As an example: Trump has no redeeming religious qualities to my mind. He's not my guy. Sen. Cruz had religious qualities, but there was no meat to his to his policies (not that he really got into details, but that's a "politician" for ye). He's not my guy. Dr. Carson is a deeply religious man (and probably the one with whom I most closely identified, religiously). I gave money to a fund to convince him to run. Early on in his campaign, I realized he wasn't my guy (again because of policy or lack thereof). I don't even refer to Mrs. Bill Clinton as "the anti-Christ" because of any of her (alleged) religious beliefs, per se. I refer to her that way because of mine. Michael
