Now Gotti on the other hand, he was maybe not so nice guy. Trafficant ran a farm and took kids to come and to some farm work and have some fun. They twisted the story around so much is was ridiculous. They had him looking like an enslaver when nothing could be farther from the truth. Participation was voluntary. They tapped all his phones and everything for like ten years, scrutinized every bank transaction and could not use one piece of evidence from all that at the trial. He was a well liked politician, and ex sheriff. As sheriff he refused to facilitate foreclosures on people's homes unless the paper work was all right. Not like some places like Florida where they set up courts in tents and the LEOs didn't even read the papers. Just the address and start dragging the people's stuff out. Even due to bank error but you are now homeless, how can you sue ?

But Gotti, they almost had to write a special law for him. Also, the technology they used against him is scary. They had his cellphone bugged even when it was off. And how long ago was that ? And what they can do today, no government should have that power.

Gotti ordered a hit on someone. Trafficant did no such thing, ever. People think he was in some sort of imaginary mafia, portrayed in movies and TV shows. If you want to call a bunch of people who do business to supply goods that are not quite approved by the government a mafia then call the government what it is - a huge conspiracy.

Seriously, people in government, media and big business meeting in secret to figure out how to enrich themselves at our expense. If that is not a conspiracy then you tell me what is.
