quote:
ORIGINAL: WinsomeDefiance That is true. The young do stupid things. I had a young man, about 21 years old who I had taken in, fed and given a place to stay when he was homeless. He thanked me by coming back and busting in my back door and stealing from me. I know it was him, because I've taken in a great many young kids over the years and he happened to try and sell my stuff to one of them. My oldest son, who is overly protective of me and a few of the boys I'd taken in over the years took the young man out to a cornfield and taught him some manners. Sadly, he didn't learn his lesson. He ended up in prison and was killed. I don't know why he was stabbed in prison, but it saddens me all the same. I do catch grief for collecting stray kids, and I keep promising myself I will stop. They all just seem to have such depressing stories at such young ages. It seems that you taught them well.
