Should all evidence in cases not involving a cop be released to the public, making an unbiased jury an absolute impossibility?

Probably not.

In instances of potential police misconduct, however, I could see the argument that the public has the right--perhaps even the responsibility--to know how public servants, acting on their behalf, are (mis)using the special powers allowed to them in their role as officers. Transparency seems particularly important in places where there's been a record of papering over police overreach, leading to legitimate community concerns about whether citizens can trust law enforcement.

So, in your esteemed opinion a person loses their Constitutional right to a fair trial the minute they put on that uniform. Cops are, by your assesment, 2nd class citizens.

Once again, reacting rather than responding, you put words into someone's mouth.

It must be a drag to marinate in such bitterness and victimhood, spilling out into post after post.

You just said that cops shouldn't have the same protections to a fair trial as other people. Sounds to me that you are so anti-cop that you are blind to your bias.
You said that for non-cops they shouldn't just dump the evidence out there for the public, but for cops they should because of "transperancy" , that is just an excuse for denying the cop the rights the rest of us take for granted.

How much privacy did o.j. get before the trial?

Cops are, by your assesment, 2nd class citizens.

No dumbass that is your assessment.
For a self proclaimed college graduate you don't seem to be able to read very well.Isn't a working knowledge of english a requirement for graduation???even from the university of dumbass?

How disingenuous of you not to show the white cops unleashing the attack dogs on the protestors in your link.

Until riots like your second picture began to happen no one wanted to listen to mlk. Would you also classify the boston tea party as a riot?
If not why not? If so why are you ok with white people rioting and not black?

How about your proclimation that they don't deserve the same protections that every other citizen in the country has, regardless of the charge.

Simply put...the public will see what it wants to see.

That certainly applies to you. Why did you not show the cops sicking the attack dogs on the mlk protest?

"I am also of Irish descent & always grew up being proud of my heritage. I didn't learn any of these facts until I took a history class in college. I wanted to crawl under the table when I first heard it. Now, I've come to surmise that it's not necessarily taught because the Irish moved on & by not dwelling on past atrocities, we've been able to raise our status in the world. Wouldn't it be awesome if all races were just proud & focused on the bright future & not the dark past?".

Did you notice who the author was?
Did you fact check this or is this just another attempt by you to mitigate your "white guilt"? If it is not trying to mitigate your "white guilt" then why post it?

And, it wasn't just the Irish in the Colonies. Europeans suffered losses numbering in the millions to Mediterranean slavers whose raids extended as far north as Iceland.

What is your point?
Is it somehow related to your self loathing and white guilt that you need to show that white christoians have been under siege since forever???

Oh, please. I proclaimed nothing. I offered an incredibly careful and nuanced policy thought that you've chosen to twist into a straw man.

In any case, if I'm so blindly anti-cop, you should have no trouble finding plenty of other anti-cop things I've posted over the years. It's not like I've been stingy with my words. So put up or shut up, as the saying goes.

Confederate flag symbolizes those who committed treason against our country. Just how would you find an apple to compare to that apple?

You're pretty much arguing my point.

How droll Actually I was asking you to validate your point.Would you like to try again?

You expect me to search through your history?
I said nothing about my being a victim, but that didn't stop you from proclaiming that I am proclaiming my victimization, now did it.
The mayor of Charlotte stated that it is hard to see where he was pointing the gun because it was a small gun. She turned down the NG for a while because it wouldn't look good. She clearly saw the tape, she clearly saw there was a gun, the cops told him to drop it several times, what else do you need?

You seriously think Black Lives Matter is all about what's happening today and has no part of their foundation based on the past? The Black Panthers?

What about the black panthers?

The Nation of Islam?

What about the nation of islam?

Al Sharpton?

Isn't he the guy who had the balls to wear a wire to rat off the mafia?

The Reverend Jackson?

Wasdn't he the guy who retrieved one of our pilots who crashed in the balkans fiasco?

Given how often history of past transgressions is brought up as an explanation and even justification for their actions now by people not even involved in those groups, I'd be willing to bet that those involved in those movement would also.

If I sodimize you and your mom and burn your house down how long will it take youy to say "lets let by gones be by gones and be pals?

So you are going to search through my history and show where I have said I am a victim?

When, in a thread on here have you ever sided with the cop.
Do you remember the shooting in MD by an AF NCO of a man who pushed into his house at 2am, demanded that the NCO's wife leave with him and attacked the NCO and you insisted that the only reason he shot the thug was because he was black?
You may not be anti cop but you sure are anti white.

Sorry, for some reason I had your history as that of cloudboy.
Normally you are reasonable, though I do not agree with you that often.
I do still believe that your suggestion would relegate cops to 2nd class citizen status.
As people, and individuals they deserve the same protections everyone else has.
