Therein lies an unspoken issue, too:
Those that don't wish to learn English, that's fine (my dear friend's grandmother never did), but don't bitch and complain, when you want a job, dealing with the public (which, by-and-large, speaks English). Don't bitch, when you can't help your children with their homework (in a school where teachers should NOT be required to teach classes in a second language). I know schools where native-born American children were forced to take (and have great difficulty with) classes in Spanish because of children who had learned the laziness and arrogance of their parents and refused to learn English.
It takes a special kind of balls to come to this country illegally and then demand that we acquiesce to YOUR laziness/inability.
