Take someone's advice to you in another thread and learn to read rather than rely on biased rants for your information. The author is talking about wearing a scarf on her head. That's it. Nothing covering her face. No big black sheet coveting her head to toe. A freakin' scarf.

Because they can't be identified. I am pretty sure that banks wouldn't allow that dress in their building.

Status: offline 		wouldn't allow WHAT dress ? The hijab ??? That might cause legal problems in this country. Or in the U.S. too, come to think of is.

Or the overcoat et al ? Both could be as potentially dangerous as each other. Maybe have everybody strip off outside and wear paper coveralls into the bank ?

How do Americans have the courage to leave the house *at all* these days? You step out of the door ... there's a woman in a hijab. Obviously an Islamic bomber. You walk a few paces - there's a white bloke who's gone out with a view to killing everyone around him because everyone around him is a black/Jew/commie/terrorist/schoolkid who dissed him. All of these people will be packing guns, the better to facilitate whatever murderous impulse they happen to have concocted in their stupid, insane brains. Just stay at home and feast yourself on TV programmes that tell you just how free you are, living in America as you do.

You obviously don't live here. We're not afraid of each other... but i would be afraid of anyone walking around in public spaces concealing their identity.

Like I said, read the article. Greta has put a misleading picture up showing the most extreme style of dress that MuslIm women might wear. Which is entirely irrelevant because it is not what the author is talking about. Greta went for shock effect knowing that some people wouldn't bother to look past it for the truth.

Well we aren't talking about "if". We are talking about people being made to feel afraid of doing these things, things which are within their rights as citizens to do, things that they have been doing all along. And we are talking about someone thousands of miles away trying to shame them for wanting to do these things, someone who is a stranger to them and their land expressing their disgust for them exercising their rights within their own country. That's what we are actually talking about. What are your views on the actual topic?

My views on that is they can do whatever they want in their own country. If that's what they want to do. I feel bad if the women over there are oppressed. I am sure there is a mix... some women love it, some hate it. But that's their problem. Maybe they need a Savior...
