ORIGINAL: tamaka Black Lives Matter is grateful to Fidel Castro. Interesting stuff. Even far more interesting stuff ... Castro came to the US first, Cuba's closest neighbor, immediately after the revolution. Having that old-school notion of "which side the bread is buttered on,' etc. Eisenhower's handlers, even knowing the officially set appointment, had him out on the golf course at the appointed time. After waiting four hours, Castro went home. Russia had nothing to do with the Cuban revolution, hardly any idea who Castro was at the time. But they got a call from Castro, introducing himself, after he got home from the US. hardly surprising, the same sort of thing happened with Ho Chi Minh as well, his first choice was to ally with the US, but he got snubbed.
