ORIGINAL: heavyblinker What liberals?? Seriously... who actually brought up gun control? And even if this wasn't just a figment of your imagination as usual, why would it somehow mean the gun control argument is inappropriate if they actually believed it was a shooting? At this point, mass shootings are simply a fact of life. The gun control argument isn't suddenly a liberal plot to disarm Americans because this time he used a knife and a car instead. It SHOULDN'T be something that just gets trotted out in the media every time a mass shooting occurs, and then put away with nothing done about it after Trump says something stupid again... but that's the country you're living in. And if it's such a 'horror', why are you using it to make fun of liberals who apparently started arguing for gun control instead of feeling sorry for the victims? At least my claim was backed by news reports who said the attacker was upset about how the media portrayed Muslims... I suspect your claim is backed by the voices in your head that also make actual communication impossible. This thread wasn't about gun control. It is about people pushing their agenda with "facts" that only exist in their minds while insisting that theirs s the only fact based position. You would find, if you weren't one of them , that this mindset across the spectrum of all issues. I said the gun control ARGUMENT. Your original post involved you gloating because apparently some mysterious liberal somewhere brought up gun control because of this knife attack and you seemed to think that was evidence that all liberals and leftists everywhere are forever wrong in everything they believe... so your special rules for this discussion require that I not bring up the very argument you were talking about? So wow, they shouldn't use knife attacks to push the gun control argument. Okay, great, yes that makes sense. Whoever this person was that used this to argue for gun control should use relevant incidents to argue about their points. Lucky for them (but unlucky for Americans), there are plenty of other legitimate shootings that they can use to argue for tighter gun control. Except at this point it's hopeless, so they might as well just accept that mass shootings are part of American mainstream culture now. A I was not gloating I was pointing out stupidity. B A mysterious liberal said something, do you know who Tim Kaine is, some mysterious Democrat? He was the Dem VP candidate this year and he was specific.
