Mass shooting at Ohio St leas to calls for tighter gun control from all the usual suspects. Only problem was he had a knife, the only one with a gun was the campus cop who stopped him. One of the first to make the call do to what he called a "mass shooting" came from Tim Kaine.

This is my first post so I named him from the start, unfortunately some of us can't read, don't the teach that in Canada? Funny you think anything a conservative says that is not totally accurate disqualifies him for life but a bozo on the left can say any dumb thing he wants and it doesn't affect his status. I didn't say he couldn't be trusted on anything but he clearly showed his bias on this issue.

And in the posts that followed, which I have been quoting for several posts now, you said that Tim Kaine called for gun control, which is NOT TRUE.

WHEN did I say anything that led you to conclude that I think that 'anything a conservative says that is not totally accurate disqualifies him for life but a bozo on the left can say any dumb thing he wants and it doesn't affect his status.'?????

I've run across a lot of annoying RWNJs on message boards like this and NONE of them have ever gone to the lengths you do to avoid admitting a mistake, to invent evidence of liberal hypocrisy, to make non-issues into major issues or to do whatever it takes to make themselves feel better or avoid admitting a mistake.

I quoted this post by you earlier:

quote:

The first one to bring up gun control was Tim Kaine who stated that the "mass shooting" at Ohio St proved we needed tighter gun control while the incident was still going on.

And I showed you that it's NOT TRUE.

So instead of saying 'okay, my bad... BUT look at this other guy who did say what I said Tim Kaine said' (which is still stupid because this entire thread is stupid, but it still at least makes sense), you ignore what I'm saying, go back to your very first post and tell me I can't read? What the fuck is wrong with you??

Decrying gun violence (even if it didn't happen) is the first step in a new round of calls for gun control, surly even you know that.

Does this completely invalidate the gun control argument? NO.

It kinda does. IF this attack happen in a gun-free zone. So a no-gun attack, in a gun-control zone. Calls for more gun control.
It's kinda dumb.

Whether he was a member of ISIS or not he followed the directions of ISIS who have been telling people to use autos and knives to attack people. At least he obeyed the gun free zones signs.

Central Alabama , I have not seen any such thing in the news here, people quit keeping guns in the racks years ago. By the way it is so nice to be called a liar even if it was only implied and not clearly stated. Because, of nothing you don't want to hear can be true.

Here is a big difference between us, though I find your claims are that people there are incredibly stupid I accept what you say, our situation is different from ours and when I point this out I have to be lying because the whole world has to be the same kind of cesspool that St Louis is.

lovmuffin -> RE: "Mass shooting" at Ohio St.leads to calls for tighter gun control. (11/30/2016 4:28:31 PM)

Actually this so called shooting has renewed efforts in Ohio to revise House Bill 48 for concealed carry at collages to include all campuses. As it stands now, individual schools can opt out of allowing concealed carry.

Hell yeah!!!!!!! More guns.... YAY!!!!!!!!

Smokey7847 -> RE: "Mass shooting" at Ohio St.leads to calls for tighter gun control. (11/30/2016 4:33:30 PM)

Tell me how gun control will stop someone from driving a car into a group of pedestrians and then slashing people with a butcher knife. That makes no sense at all. If someone had had a gun, people would not have been slashed with a knife. Take a look at the crime rates in countries that do have gun control. It sky rockets. The only ones who can't get a gun are the honest ones. Criminals will still get them. Then there is no protection if someone invades your home by kicking in the door. The police won't be there in time. Good luck on surviving.

I'm going to assume that was a reply to this thread and not to me and I'll also say I agree with your post. In the future though, if you're not replying to a specific post or poster, use the letters "FR" at the top left of your post (denotes fast reply) as to avoid confusion. If you fail to do so I will shoot you[8D] (emoji usually denotes sarcasm). Welcome to the forums. [sm=welcomewave.gif]

St Louis and NYC are the exceptions. NYC still has relatively low crime rates even with tight gun control, And St Louis is still a cesspool even with relatively
reasonable gun laws.

OK... go to the Birmingham News... in the search box type in stolen guns...read...if you can do that... then come back here and tell me again that guns are not stolen from vehicles in central Alabama.

I am not calling you a lair... only that you are full of crap when you make outlandish statements that defy common sense...and reality.

Ummm, it just happened maybe ?

Not the running over part but the stabbing part.

There should be no suck thing as a gun free zone. We protect money with guns, diamonds and other assets, but our young do not deserve that ? What does that say about society.

Maybe it is different where they made all the people helpless many decades ago but it is not different here.

What's more, anyone ever hear of strongarm robbery ?

B'ham is 100 miles away. And we still don't have near the problem you claim too. You have to check out anything I say before you believe it. I am not a liar,it is just that you can't believe anything I say.

Funny it wasn't a mass shooting it was a stabbing the student had a knife.

Exactly, it was the sheer stupidity of them condemning an act of gun violence when the only gun there was in the hands of a cop. I saw on the news where Ohio is , as a result of this, review the ban of ccw holders of carrying on campus

I grew up about 100 miles north of St Louis.
Every year during dear season we would get stories about dumb deer hunters from St Louis.
One guy shot a cow in the middle of a field, it had horns so it had to be a deer.
Another brought a mule into the verification station, thought it was a mule deer.
One year during turkey season another hunter from St Louis climbed a tree and started using his turkey call, and his friend upon hearing the call shot him.
I think you can understand why I don't have a high opinion of the "gun smarts" of people from St Louis.

kdsub -> RE: "Mass shooting" at Ohio St.leads to calls for tighter gun control. (11/30/2016 8:27:00 PM)

Oh so Birmingham isn't central Alabama enough for you... ok tell me your local newspaper....lets search there.

And... here we go again... I thought you had learned your lesson... I challenge you to link where I called you a lair... if you can't find it will you say you were mistaken? Or do you have no honor.

You said you had to check to see if I was telling the truth, you say it without using the exact words. What else can your refusal to believe me until you check it mean other than my word is of no value?

You say that I am not a liar, it is just that you don't believe anything I say.
You are lying to yourself.

Sounds to me like Darwin's Law will take care of that problem.

I mean this is almost funny.
