ORIGINAL: tamaka What people have to realize is that the US has nothing to gain by a bad relationship with Russia. That just makes Russia more dependent on China and we have Absolutely Nothing to gain from that situation. Having good relations with Russia and allowing them to manipulate our elections are very different. Allow? So who do you think allowed it? Perhaps transparency must be part of the new world we live in. Technology might force it upon us. Maybe in the long run it will be a good thing for everyone... but right now we experience the growing pains. Who knows? If a positive relationship between Russia and the USA helps stabilize the world, maybe the ends will justify the means. Right now everything is speculation anyways. Please find a good dictionary and acquaint yourself with the reality that words in English have multiple meanings, as in this case, not meaning necessarily "permission." What do they teach in schools today??? Yet again, obviously, there's no problem with good relations between countries, and yet again, manipulating an election is not the action of a friend, and yet again, read yourself some history, and you'll discover there's a lot of reason for not assuming hearts and flowers. And yet again, the CIA announcing their investigation has led to this conclusion is not the same as "speculation." And yet again, there's a world of difference between a foreign power manipulating an election and a Kumbayah world of transparent unicorns and butterfly valentines. good point more often than not its political propaganda
