Crippled my ass. They are laughing. And like when was the last time I bought anything made in Russia ? Well the US government and telecom companies buy their rockets because we can no longer build them. The state of California has more debt than Russia.
And they don't pay $600 for a toilet seat.
You want to have them stop buying Russian rockets ? Well then say goodbye to your cable TV. Also say goodbye to long range recon in case of war. The Chinese have proven they can knock out a satellite and now has their own "GPS" system totally independent. You think they put those up there just for GPS ? That means they will have recon that they will share with the Russians and we won't.
All they have to sell is oil ? Well their fighter jets are better than ours. Israel has some, many countries have bought some. I mean BOUGHT, they don't give them away like the US does. Unlike the US it is not just "OK, well knock this off your foreign aid" even if they do that.
And tell me what the US sells. Some planes. And they are going to have to give away those boatanchor F-35s. Commercial airliners, yup, how many a year ? How much of a trade surplus do we have due to that ?
Overconfidence is deadly. The US has to buy components for arms from China, and we aren't talking a few MOLEX connectors here, rockets from Russia, good food. Sure, tell me how we export more food, we export wheat. Try living on wheat. We can't even get a deal on sugar because of a sordid past in South America so we get HFCS or aspartame. Thought sugar was bad for you ? This shit beats it hands down.
Russia crippled, what a fucking joke. I needed a good laugh. To think that people are that brainwashed, and not realizing that we could not handle Iraq, and that EVERY member of congress has been bribed to support a US attack on Iran which is much bigger, and having a President that surprised me by having the backbone to say NO, partly because we cannot afford it, he gets called a coward. Send YOUR kids to war.
Ever hear of BRICS ? How about the NAM ? Both groups sick of big countries taking over and meddling. The US does not have support in its aggressive actions.
A tech giant ? Well supposedly they can hack into US computers just fine. That must be quite a feat in a country that supposedly just got color TV last year. Got tubes in their planes. (which are less vulnerable to EMP BTW, in fact they just put up an antenna array using vacuum tubes for that specific reason)
If you think Russia is going to be easy you have almost no understanding of the technology involved, or even the cost. The US is to the point where they are not going to sell alot of bonds. Notice how congress has not raised the debt ceiling lately ? THEY CAN'T. If they try, Moody's is going to speak again and that mandates paying more interest. The only reason interest on the national debt is so low is because it is fairly secure.. Change that with a war and those low interest rates are out the window.
Meantime, Russia is not so dependent on debt. You want war, can't shoot or fight ? You might be conscripted to a farm or processing plant to make those MREs so the soldiers don't starve. And if the US plays with the other big boys, we are going to have to become self sufficient. The US dollar won't be worth the paper on which it is printed, and even those who might take it might be afraid to sell us anything and make enemies of people who are alot closer to home, to them.
The US is not the center of the world. We are not even a major market as far as China is concerned. They're making alot of money in Europe and Asia. Russia sells natural gas to a good piece of Europe, which is what Ukraine was really about, getting a finger in that pie. Of course that worked out well, I am still waiting for the civil war there. Instead of north against south it will be east against west.
But yay yay yay USA ! We're number one ! More than one suicide per day in the military and a third of them on psyche drugs.
