Excuse me?

Was it not the Trumpster who started the birther nonsense?

Not that I recall. On this planet that is.

Actually it was Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primaries that started the "birther" campaign. Now onto more relevant subject matter.

Elections consist of people voting and those votes being counted. Just how did Russia interfere with the election? I'm just curious.

Musicmystery -> RE: FBI agrees with CIA: Russia helped Trump take White House (12/19/2016 4:21:38 PM)

Do they get newspapers in your town?

MasterBrentC -> RE: FBI agrees with CIA: Russia helped Trump take White House (12/19/2016 4:30:30 PM)

How does newspapers answer the question?

Bullshit, alt left trash started that.

Straight from the asses ass:

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign manager rejected Donald Trump's claim Friday that the campaign was responsible for the "birther" movement.
"The campaign, nor Hillary, did not start the birther movement. Period. End of the story," Patti Solis Doyle told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "There was a volunteer coordinator, I believe in late 2007, I think in December. One of our volunteer coordinators in one of the counties in Iowa, I don't recall whether they were an actual a paid staffer, but they did forward an email that promoted the conspiracy."

"The birther conspiracy?" Blitzer asked.
"Yeah. Hillary made the decision immediately to let that person go. We let that person go, and it was so, you know, beyond the pale, Wolf, and you know, so not worthy the kind of campaign that certainly Hillary wanted to run or that we as a staff wanted to run that I called David Plouffe, who was obviously managing Barack Obama's campaign in '07, to apologize and basically say this is not coming from us."

That truth of this has been shown so many times but that is one of the myths that the really die hard Trump supporters just will not let go of, regardless of all of the evidence showing otherwise.

Hilary ran on "I'm a woman and I'm not Trump."

Not really a rallying cry. That's why she lost.

THIS^ is probably the only thing I am ever gonna be agreeing with you about.

Lol... it's not true but it is true. She had a platform but she didn't really seem to get it across at all. Everything in the media was all about Trump's positions on everything and they thought it was hurting him but all it did was teach the American people what rhe issues were (according to him anyways). The media basically drilled these issues into everyone's head. Hillary could not even begin to match that kind of coverage with her weak personality.

For the first time ever I think, I am in agreement with you on this.

quote:

Sometimes i think that this whole thing is being orchestrated on purpose. I know it seems like there are 2 teams here but i think that what we are witnessing is the USA trying to play a hail Mary with Trump and if things don't go well they are holding a trump card (literally Trump himself) to try to back out of the play (if it doesn't seem to be working out) by some sort of 'Sorry we let this get out of hand... it is that madman Trump's fault, we'll impeach him now... please forgive us, etc etc). Of course, on the other hand, if it works out great then we vote Trump our MVP.

I almost wish we had a 'crazy like a fox' plan like this, it would make me feel a lot better about how all of this is going down. But I am not that hopeful.

Ok, so it wasn't Hillary it was just people who supported her. That is still not the Republicans. And who played the birther card against McCain that same year?

Musicmystery -> RE: FBI agrees with CIA: Russia helped Trump take White House (12/19/2016 7:43:32 PM)

No, Clinton didn't start the birther thing. This guy did.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/birther-movement-founder-trump-clinton-228304

In fact, birtherism, as it’s been called, reportedly began with innuendo by serial Illinois political candidate Andy Martin, who painted Obama as a closet Muslim in 2004. That spiraled into a concerted effort by conspiracy theorists to raise doubts about Obama’s birthplace and religion — and essentially paint him as un-American.

Trump courted believers in the conspiracy and even advised advocates for state laws requiring future presidents to produce proof of their U.S. birth. Ironically, an Arizona bill on the matter, which Trump specifically advocated for, was vetoed by then-Gov. Jan Brewer – now a top Trump surrogate. Brewer questioned its requirement to force presidential candidates to release “baptismal or circumcision certificates” in lieu of a birth certificate.

Forwarding isn't the same as writing.
Regardless, it wasn't Hillary and Trump was the one who turned it into a movement.

"Russia is a has-been nation currently crippled by well-deserved sanctions."

Crippled my ass. They are laughing. And like when was the last time I bought anything made in Russia ? Well the US government and telecom companies buy their rockets because we can no longer build them. The state of California has more debt than Russia.

Oil and gas make up 70% of Russia's exports.
This is what the west (including Europe) is currently not buying from them.
Their economy has been shrinking since 2014.

I can't imagine they're okay with this.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Termyn8or The US is not the center of the world. We are not even a major market as far as China is concerned. They're making a lot of money in Europe and Asia. Russia sells natural gas to a good piece of Europe, which is what Ukraine was really about, getting a finger in that pie. Of course that worked out well, I am still waiting for the civil war there. Instead of north against south it will be east against west.

But yay yay yay USA ! We're number one ! More than one suicide per day in the military and a third of them on psyche drugs.

The US is still the dominant superpower in the world... I don't know how anyone could deny that. And yes, the US IS a major market as far as China is concerned-- over 300 million wealthy consumers is not something you can comfortably ignore, and that's not even counting the access they have to the rest of North America through NAFTA.

The EU is of course another major market... and that's who China will undoubtedly turn to if Trump's trade war comes to pass. The idea that Russia would take Trump's side when all he has to offer them is non-free trade and protectionism is ridiculous... nobody really wants to be part of that shite except aging baby boomers who pine for the good old days. Hopefully they will die soon so we never have to deal with another Trump ever again.

We buy quite a few things from Russia.

And quite a few things are made here, even by foreign-owned manufacturers:

That' the official Russian version - but ISIS isn't in Aleppo. Syrian army rebels are, and al-noosra, American supported groups. ISIS retook Palmyra, and is fighting around Mossul.

Yeah. A bunch of dead civilians are in Aleppo.

And scared live ones desperately trying to get out alive.

I find it funny how the Democrats cannot see what is right in front of them. They have lost the Senate, the House, over the years and now the Presidency and the majority of the Governors. They just do not get it that people are tired of wasteful government spending. Change is coming. The people have spoken.

No, the gerry mander and dumping the voters off the list is their big leg up. Look at the debt, real government wasteful spending is about to take a real hike.

There is nothing but waste in the nutsucker borrow and spend, and they are doubling and tripling and quadrupling down on that.

Yeah, getting tired and solving are two different things.

California, for example, in rule by popular voting initiative, votes for services, but against funding, making the government structurally deficit.
