Here is a little bit of clue for you....
The Surprising Symptoms of Heart Disease: The No. 1 Killer in Women (Video)
Learn what you need to know about this silent killer

The Surprising Symptoms of Heart Disease: The No. 1 Killer in Women (Video)
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in women, yet many women aren’t familiar with possible symptoms of coronary artery disease (CAD) that should be brought to their primary care physician’s attention.

Heart disease is caused by atherosclerosis, or plaque-clogged arteries that restrict blood flow to the heart. From a biological standpoint, that’s no different in men than it is in women.

However, there are differences in the way women’s blood vessels respond to the atherosclerosis, which can cause some women to present with atypical symptoms of heart disease. While we commonly hear about heart disease causing chest pressure or tightness and shortness of breath, some women may instead experience atypical symptoms such as back pain, rapid heartbeat, nausea or fatigue.

In this video, Leslie Cho, MD, Director of Cleveland Clinic’s Women’s Cardiovascular Center, explains:

I suggest if you want more information on it, you do some research.

If you want to know WHY there is interest in womens heart problems???? Because for decades, most heart studies and investigative research were done on men... when women were found to have the same structure, they didnt do deeper research until women were dying with different symptoms to men,
But...biologically we have different responses. to many things.
so, to address the problem, womens heart issues are slightly different.
its not something we can change...sorry, oh and heart research is ongoing, for both...
you poor, picked on male.

Seriously, this is dumb.

It's like Breast Cancer for men. If a celebrity male dies of breast cancer, they will do a "Spotlight on breast cancer on men!"

Because heart diseases are rarer in women than in men all over the world. Men usually die from heart diseases, and women usually die from cancer.

So this is a unique situation, thus the spotlight on women. Because EVERYBODY already know men are most prone to heart diseases. The awareness is already there.

I was thinking of my own high fat and high sodium diet and my cholesterol is great. My lil bro only in his 20's has crazy dangerous cholesterol levels. And he is 13% body fat and ripped with abs.

Like I got way more fats than him and he is probably gonna die of heart disease before I will ever catch heart disease.

Yes, just forget about men dying at equal rates. Yawn

Why not ALL genders? How come an example of a woman dying from heart disease justifies just focusing on women? Doing that for men would be equally as bad. In a world of equality, how about ALL people, regardless of gender or race?

Not picking favourites.

DV against males lack consideration compared to DV against females, no feminist objection to that. Rape against males lack consideration compared to rape against females, no feminist objection to that.

In this situation, feminists like Lucy finally decide to put a stance against it. Amazing.

No Greta, Heart disease is the #1 cause of death among women. Its just that it presents differently in women than it does in men. Since educating doctors on diagnosing it is based on studies done on heart disease among men, then heart disease among women was being misdiagnosed. As a result, there is a big push now to study it properly in the context of women and presentation, as it differs from that of men.

See Lucy's links in her response to rm.

The opening remark is that heart disease kills more women than cancer does, but that's actually true of men too. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, but also men. Heart disease deserves more attention, but not exclusively for women

I couldn't give a damn what you think you fat pizza loving whore. You spend way more time on this forum than me. So telling me to get a life is fucking ironically laughable.

Do you know why married men die at an earlier age and more frequently from heart disease? They want to.

True. What you are missing is that what is known about heart disease and how to treat it today is based primarily on studies of men with heart disease. What the medical community has come to understand though is that it presents differently in women than it does in men.

So they now acknowledge that they know a lot less about it in women than they thought.

So they keep studying them both. Yes, both.

But, and and I know this is a radical idea for you, but since less is known about heart disease in women, some people think it is worth putting forth some extra effort to try and catch up.

I mean, its not like there is any chance of any other medical knowledge being gained that could be applied to other areas of medicine and research.

OK, go ahead and start your anti-feminist rant here, and how thats discriminatory. Actually, I could probably write your little rant out myself, its so predictable, but I can't sleep and there isn't anything on tv so you are my best bet at entertainment tonight. So I'll leave you to you and your exploding head.

Because men eat more double bacon double cheese double whammy burgers with large fries and large drink than most women.

He doesn't understand that. Because whiny babymen eat can't eat those things.

respectmen -> RE: Carrie Fisher's death puts spotlight on women's heart disease (12/27/2016 11:32:39 PM)

Men face less consideration for ALL problems, every problem on earth when speaking of the western world. When women claim about having less consideration for a problem, it's all the sudden considerable and important.

The empathy gap.

respectmen -> RE: Carrie Fisher's death puts spotlight on women's heart disease (12/27/2016 11:34:24 PM)

Women can even complain about a mario video game being sexist and mainstream media will accept it.
